  1. Vela, Evra, Ozil, Kuyt, Elia, Endo. There's bloody loads man EDIT: Song, Song, Webo, Enoh, Mbia.
  2. I know it's never gonna happen but I'd rather have Vukcevic than Petrov. MP is already on that downward spiral.
  3. Oh aye, thankfully they're actually pretty decent together beyond paper. Both have very handy international records., and with the aforementioned Lodeiro playing behind them there's a chance of fireworks. EDIT: With journeyman Sebastian 'El Loco' Abreu on the bench aswell. Apparently he's the highest scoring player at the World Cup, in terms of total career goals. Them goals spread across 20 different teams,6 different countries and 3 different continents.
  4. Dropped Ooijer for Abidal upon reading he wont be starting. Abidal apparently will start at CB for France.
  5. Barrios was about 2000/1 in January to be topscorer at the World Cup before he fast-tracked his Paraguayan passport. I was tempted to put a cheeky £1 on when I heard he'd be joining up with the Paraguyan squad, and never got round to it. Now he's scored 3 goals in less than 3 full caps and has New Zealand in his group. Unsurprisingly the odds have now shortened to about 100/1. Would be my luck that he pulled a Salenko and bagged about 4 against the Kiwis.
  6. According to an article rating Wolfsburg's signings.
  7. Nicolas Lodeiro, Uruguayan attacking midfielder. Will probably play in behind Suarez and Forlan, he really was the link they needed from midfield and attack. Jong Tae-Se, striker for North Korea. Dubbed the 'People's Wayne Rooney'. Alexis Sanchez. Will play on the right side of Chile's front three. Not made an impact in Europe yet but always plays well for the national team. Javier Pastore. Elegant midfielder who will be deputy to Veron in midfield, will probably get his chance when Veron inevitably fails to last the pace of a tournament like this. Teko Modise. Likely to be South Africa's main hope from what I've heard. Will probably move abroad after the tournament.
  8. Aye, Ozil is really quality. Not a fan of Cacau like, and he's about as German ad I am.
  9. On a free?! That's the type of deal on FM you'd e buzzing over. Don't think he's as good in real life as his FM stats suggest mind, but he can't be bad on a free.
  10. Aye that's my planning now if the weather agrees.
  11. I'm also interested in any suggestions, at the moment it's either the pub or at home with a few mates for me.
  12. Keegan in charge all season with no disruption, with that squad (including Milner) and we'd have comfortably finished top half imo.
  13. I remember the opening day of our relegation season. 1-1 at Old Trafford. Jonas was World class. Colo looked rock solid. Keegan How the mighty have fallen. I was in a pub in Italy at the time, myself and the fatha the only Newcastle fans in the whole place. Filled with Man U fans - some British, some Italians, some from god knows where else. Went absolutely mental when Oba scored Obviously Fletcher scored almost immediately like but I remember wearing my shirt with pride for the rest of the day looking forward to the season ahead.
  14. Gotta say, when i've seen the J-League they're definitely superior to the Championship in terms of technical ability. Not sure about the K-League, I'm not sure how they compare in playing styles or quality, but I doubt they're worlds apart. Physically and tempo wise they're probably a significant drop below the Championship, but to say they're on par with semi-pro football - no way man
  15. It's on SSN. Half time now though. Man those fucking Vuvuzelas are terrible, I'd forgot how annoying they were from the Confed Cup.
  16. Aye. I want the host to do well every tournament though, kinda loses a bit of the atmosphere when they crash out early. I think they'll do rubbish though, unfortunately.
  17. Aye, died of meningitis just a week or so ago. I put up with Morgantwat for that whole show and was left feeling depressed that the poor bloke died right at the end. Man.
  18. Fucking hell they dropped that one out of the blue. What a sickener man. RIP to that bloke.
  19. Aye, couldn't believe he actually said that. I rewinded it to make sure I hadn't misheard, he said it like such a cunt aswell. The unbelievable cunt.
  20. Will Tulio score an own goal or accidentally kill a French star? Both. Probably at once.
  21. If that was actually as off the cuff as it seemed and not completely staged, then, fair play Lampard. Nice gesture. Piers Morgan is still twat btw.
