The thing about the World Cup no matter how dissapointing a game is you know there's 3 more to redeem it the next day.

The noise really doesn't annoy me anymore tbh, I just tune them out completely for the most part. What is bad and what somebody else mentioned in this thread is the way they destroy a proper atmosphere developing. Instead of chanting and the roar when a chance happens all you get is the constant droaning of the horns - it's boring if anything.

I'm looking forward to the Greece - South Korea game tbh. Korea should win because Greece are like they were in 2004 (boring), the only difference being they're also s*** and don't win. I can see the Korean's just outpacing and outrunning them in midfield.

tbh this is one of the worst WC incarnations of England in ages bar the manager, I have no idea why they're all so optimistic. Meh, it's better than the '02 and '06 teams. Like you said, it's the manager why we're all optimistic. In Capello I think everybody feels we have somebody who can drag us through on tactical nous where ability may be lacking.

The strikers look terrible aswell tbh, '1 goal-this-season' Altidore and some MLS player who, tbf, I'd never heard of until about 2 weeks ago. The midfield looks fairly good and the keeper is top class, but really we should be looking to be that lot comfortably.
