Another thing different between the Spain and Barca sides. Clue: It beings with M and ends in essi.
-
Another two years. Aye, thought so.

Smith looked just as useless in the Championship last season as he did in the Premiership. Can't believe we're gonna be stuck with him and his wages - how long does he have left on his contract?
-
That's a trend that needs to stop happening on here.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/chelsea/7882754/Ricardo-Carvalho-set-to-sign-for-Inter-Milan-as-Chelsea-move-for-Bruno-Alves.html Strange one. 32 and isn't going to break in ahead of Lucio and Samuel, to joing Cordoba and Matrix on the bench?

Think we need a quick, strong, physical presence alongside him. Infact I think we need a player of this ilk in general in the squad. Anthony Annan for Ghana would be absolutely spot on but I think he's heading for bigger things after his World Cup.
-
He'll have to tbh. Smith and Nolan cannot be relied upon in the Prem, and Barton? Will he be fit?

Kily Gonzalez, Santagio Solari, Pierre Wome, Ze Maria, Favalli, David Pizarro... I'll give Mattis the floor on this one as I may seem bias, but to blame two young strikers still adapting to top flight football, is both harsh and naive. That's why the blame should lie with the management, for entrusting two young players with that level of responsibility. I'm pretty sure Julio Cruz was actually top scorer that season.

Butt with a cool finish and Huntington on the score sheet. That game was bizarre, especially so in hindsight.

He was good. Explosive and showed alot of passion playing for Inter, had 1 season where he got 20+ goals...not bad for somebody who had 'better' players ahead of him. Like I said at the time Inter fans were on the majority dissapointed to see him go. They handed the keys to the team to him and Adriano in 2005-6. They're inconsitency was the team's downfall that season. Definitely, but that's bad management rather than bad on Oba's behalf. Still got the title by default regardless He was what, 20/21 at the time? Hardly the age to be leading the line on his own for a big club like Inter. When he left Inter at the time most fans were dissapointed to see him go, because they saw him as a big talent for the future. He was irratic, inconsistent sure - but they're the kind of faults that should have been ironed out over the coming years (something that never happened here). Here's a scope of how Inter fans felt about the decision to let him go: http://forzainterforums.com/showthread.php?3392-Ratings-of-the-transfers-of-the-summer-1-by-1 In hindsight it was a great decision by the management to cash in.

They've just sold their star striker Bukharov to Zenit, so I guess this is their replacement. He's getting first team chances where he wouldn't have got (and didn't last season) with Wolfsburg. Still a step down though imo, even when all things are considered.

Fwiw I never really grew to love Martins when he was here. He frustrated me no end, and I was never that bothered when he left. Funny because I was over the moon when we signed him as he was superb for Inter, lots of Inter fans were gutted they'd sold him and replaced him with Ibra.

True, and CL football aswell. Still I'd bet he wishes he was still playing in a top league tbh. He's on a slippery slope to his career fading out completely.

That move worked out didn't it Oba, you JOURNEYMAN.

Just use FM!!1!

Agree with all of that entirely.

I'd agree, but Jamie McClen didn't go through with his move there.

He would move to Newcastle. He's said as much on his Facebook. We'll let this one flutter by. Talented player borderline begging for a chance to play for us and we'll let it go.
-
Crawley look really dodgy. Sergio Torres who played against us last season in the Championship, for a 6 figure sum. No way that can end well financially.
-
Good result for them, they had a lad on trial from Bermuda playing - quite the culture shock for him coming over to Gateshead from there Will be interesting to see how the Heed get on next season.

Perch can play CB aswell according to Wiki. I wouldn't begrudge a quality CB coming in, just not somebody who's 36 and legs are going, going, gone... If it was at all possible Onuoha would be a godsend.
