  1. Agree with the Piatti suggestions, he's a cracking little player who I've liked the look of every time I've seen him play. He has an Italian passport aswell I think which would mean there would be no Work Permit problems. Could imagine it being a little bit too pricey to bring him here though unfortuantely, Almeria paid around about £5 Million on him i seem to remember so they'll probably want a bit of profit on that.
  2. Cracking goal. All the talk of naturalising players in the other thread, Senna is the prime example of it's benefits. Spain wouldn't have won EURO 2008 without him imo.
  3. Just reading through this thread, can't belive somebody said Pancrate was slow - for all his faults pace is certainly the one area he has and is probably the only reason he is a professional footballer. He is the definition of a speed merchant ffs
  4. Aslong as we manage to successfully string some passess together it will be a noticable improvement on Swansea. Hopefully we can scrape a shitty 0-1 away win similar to the ones at the start of the season.
  5. Great stuff, would happily see either of them twats go tits up.
  6. Ohh shit no e-mails bint but we have commentary bint instead!
  7. West Ham had far too much quality to go down the two season or so they have went down this last decade. Ana, but look at some of the f***ing w*** down the bottom of the table atm.
  8. The Football Ramble is class. 4 blokes basically just chat like a group of blokes at a pub, except they're pretty knowledgable. Not afraid to speak their mind either and say things as it is, it's a good humourous listen. On a totally different note, if anybody's interested in wider range of football then '5 Live's World Football Phone in' is superb. It's on at some ungodly hour so I've never listened to the live thing but the podcast is a cut down version of it. They actually have some journos on there that are knowledgable and aren't utter cunts, South American specialist Tim Vickery in particular really knows his stuff.
  9. It's nice to have 3 you actually have confidence in isn't it?
  10. West Ham have got far too much quality to go down like.
  11. In Spain tackles from behind are almost always a red. Although there wasn't that much contact here. I call orange card. I love La Liga but it's like a non-contact sport at times. They've even stopped Zlatan from doing his karate passes
  12. There's no way we paid £2 Million for him man, where did them figures come from? He was out of contract in 6 months ffs.
  13. 9 v 10, Inter to nick this now imo. Poor decision there for me.
  14. We always hear the stereotypes about Italian football and the bought referees, but how bad is it actually? I'm reading a book at the moment about an English bloke who follows Hellas Verona to every away game and he talks in depth about how convinced he is by the bias of referees (ironically, particularly to Inter on this occasion) Is it actually as bad as what is made out?
  15. Said the Newcastle fan. True, true. But Mallorca are something else. I was actually having this discussion with my Dad today. It annoys me how form can differ so much away from home.
  16. That was fucking nasty from Milito.
  17. Mallorca ahead against Sevilla. How can a team have such polar opposite home and away form? Crazy.
  18. It was impossible in the past because he had U21 caps for Spain, but they changed the ruling last year so that only competitive full team games were able to tie a player to a country. This is part of the reason why Algeria's stock has risen so much recently.
  19. Just remembered Mourinho's record, could be under threat here.
