I was thinking the same thing. Not exciting maybe, but there's goals there.
I mean sunderland have consistently been one of the least dynamic teams in the top flight for my entire life. This looks a lot better.
no different to claiming a throw which mayn't be yours. Don't recall anyone being up in arms about that.
Obviously you don't want to see it for every decision or the whole team surrounding the red but it's hardly the worst thing in the world.
Or a penalty that was blatant etc
people seem more offended/sickened by it than they are if somebody tries to snap a leg in half. It's properly overplayed gentlemanly nonsense. If a player deserves a yellow card then they can shout for it all the want, especially if the ref has been a useless cunt and missed an incident.
never ever understood the stigma with shouting for yellow cards. If a player has blatantly cheated or tried to kill an opposition player then fair play for wanting them booked.
Bit ridiculous to pick all the best players Lineker played with and comparing them to some of the shittest Rooney has had to.
May as well say Rooney has had Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard whereas Lineker had Steve Hodge, Carlton Palmer and Andy Sinton.
Nonce
It's a shame Lineker didn't get it really, he came within 1 goal and IIRC Graham Taylor subbed him in his last England game and he was understandably furious.

if rooney is going to become England's record goalscorer, limping over the line with soft penalties against San Marino is certainly the most appropriate way for him to do so
I fucking hate Obertan, Gouffran and Elliot. They run it close.
Williamson though is the only one who I look at wonder how the fuck he's made it as a pro. He's one of those players that makes you consider how many pisshead morons dropped out of the game to allow him a free path to a decent level. He's fucking garbage and he's the luckiest man alive to have played 150+ games for a PL club.
Real haven't fucked up at all. They've got Navas who's a very good 'keeper. He'll be fine for a season then they'll take De Gea on a free.
If Madrid were desperate they'd have got him months ago. They're not and they could afford to take their chances on playing chicken to push the fee down towards the end of the window.
