NO. Pisses all over the credibility of historic lower league teams (some older and with more pedigree than those currently occupying the top flight) and just serves to play into the hands of big clubs monopolising players.
-
Aye, exactly what we need IMO. Would give us a lot of flexibility. Sounds like he's one of those versatile players who's genuinely versatile as in that they're a good footballer rather than somebody like Liam Ridgewell who looks awkward and uncomfortable in both positions but gets by as apparently being 'steady' and 'dependable'.
-
Also, the fact he's a comfortable fullback and centre back sounds something we'd be after.
-
Injury and exploitable contract situation. That sounds right.
-
That ones a cracker like. Nee chance.

Whey I just cannit see it. Brazil are bringing them home because the economy and currency is in such a strong position that they can pay fortunes, Argentina is at the other end of the spectrum. The league is completely fucked and I can't see Colo quitting the Prem at the top of his game to go back there and play for a relative pittance.
-
A tenth? You know this for a fact I suppose? He'd easily pull in £30kpw in Argentina (we'd realistically want him on £50k) on a free as well. Argentina in no matter what state manage to fit in special players, like Riquelme, you saying he doesn't get more than £10kpw? Nope. Even the best players in Argentina are on absolutely naff all, Veron is on a lot less than that and he was the best player in South America recently. Argie players are not clammering to get home, and the ones that do go home have either bombed in Europe or at the very end of their career and are willing to go home and play for very little. Nevermind the money I just don't see where you get the idea he's gonna want to go back home so early in his career, he's getting better every season rather than getting worse. He's been in Europe since he was a kid so and all his family is settled over here so he can hardly be homesick. Has he mentioned going back home in the press or anything?
-
Just can't see him going back home at the peak of his career to earn a 10th of what he is now.
-
No chance tbh. Argentinean league is on its arse in terms of finance and wages.
-
What history?
-
That's a shame.
-
Hahaha. They can't be Fulham fans, they're all aggressive and opinionated.

Pretty embarrassing if they actively sit deep at home allowing Swansea to dominate the game tbh. Obviously they wont mind too much if they win, but if they don't...
-
Man, easy to forget how we still up there at such a late point in the season.
-
Anybody listen to Total Sport yesterday? Cattermole saying against Swansea you have to sit on your edge of your box and let them have the ball otherwise you'll lose, saying they must play on the counter attack. At home to Swansea?! Good job O'Neill gets results with this shite.

This is an astonishingly good idea.

I don't know but I think it's pretty clear Hughton didn't lose his job because of results on the pitch and position in the table. There was certainly no grounds for a sacking in that sense so for me it is fairly obvious that the reasoning was different. I highly doubt Hughton wanted Carroll sold, his captain flogged and other key components of his team took apart while being replaced by younger French and African players on the cheap. Whereas Pardew was more than up for that process and working with Carr/Llambias in building a new team while cutting costs. Yesh Ashley and Llambias are cunts and it was shocking to see Hughton sacked and replaced with Pardew but they didn't sack him purely out of sheer vindictive nastiness as much as people on here would like to think - they did it ultimately as a business decision. A club's set up and policies will only ever function if everybody is pulling in the right direction and in all honesty whoever is the better manager for me is a complete irrelevance because it's the net sum of the parts that matters and right now I think we have that more than we have done at any point of the Ashley regime.
-
I'm not sure what makes you think he would offer Nolan and Barton each 5 year contracts. Doesn't really matter anyway as we don't know and never will but as I say, for me his a better manager. I think it's pretty clearly the reason he lost his job.
-
A better manager (very debateable) who no doubt would have wated Nolan and Barton tied down for the next 5 years.
-
I painstakingly tried to do that with a French shirt in the summer. Afraid to say I dont have the photo skills to pull it off.

Guess because it was Coventry who delayed the game. Aye, but both of them played out the draw. Stupid mackems. Don't think Algeria only selected one of Austria and Germany to hold a grudge against.
