Ameobi- 7 He barely held onto the ball all game, misplaced passes all the time and cost us a goal.
-
Put him in a team where he doesn't have to create almost everything and he'd look quality IMO, a bit like when he started under Keegan (v Man U, Bolton even v Valencia).
-
He's the black Nolan. When he doesn't score he's just rubbish.
-
You don't think he brings any advantages other than assists and goals? He takes so much pressure of us by bringing the ball out of defence, he's always putting doubt in the minds of defenders who end up backing off or giving away free kicks, he normally has two players on him so we should have space to exploit elsewhere etc. People are saying he's bailed out/helped by Enrique but would Enrique be as good without Jonas in front of him?
-
Taylor better than Coloccini for the second game running IMO.
-
Then who do you want instead? Ameobi and Nolan Ameobi and Ranger either or. Nolan never plays well behind a sole striker and he'll be even worse behind Shola. Carroll isn't that much of a goal threat at the moment but he's more of one than Ranger. Ideally, we'd probably play Lovenkrands-Shola but that doesn't look like its happening.
-
Does he still take the free kicks for Peru?
-
Canales (the new Spanish boy wonder) scored another quality goal today.

Disappointing? It's a Championship game on a Monday night that's live on the tv. 40k+ would be a pretty good attendance in my opinion.

Doesn't look overly interested to me. hows that? I've mentioned on here several times about him. Im new Still going through the motions as far as I'm concerned, puts in a shift when he can be bothered and he's lost that yard/zip he had about him at the start of last season. To be fair to him at the start of last season you'd struggle to find a player to match his energy, so he set a pretty high standard for himself. I agree he slacked off towards the end of last season and start of this season but now he's starting to pick it up again.
-
Aye because it's the games against Bolton which really test a championship-winning team They blow it too much in the big games, they just aren't a consideration for me - Chelsea or Man U are more consistent. If Arsenal win their game in hand they'll go ahead of Man U, I reckon they can still win it. Every team has looked a little dodgy at points this season.
-
It's just a guess but I think Guardiola gave Busquets loads of playing time this season because he knew he'd need him now with Toure and Keita at the ACN
-
Should be made player/manager next season. No joke.

That feature on FM where you can ask players to recommend signings was probably suggested by Hughton.

http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=171619 They seem to love him , really pleased that he is staying. Unless they are all being ironic. They must be being sarcastic because I can't believe Ronaldo would be in the wrong.

Villa have got so many knobs in their team. Petrov (cries everytime he gets tackled and does that stupid waving an imaginary card thing all the time) Agbolahor (arrogant, thinks he's miles better than he is) Young (see above) Dunne (always seems to be moaning, don't think I've ever seen him smile) Beye ( ) and of course O'Neill...
-
Why? It's relevant to this thread.
-
He shouldn't be. As someone said in another thread, everyday folk have to go back to work after losing parents/relatives etc. It's obviously a tough time for him but you've got to get on with things.
-
Even if we buy more midfielders and strikers they'd have to be very good to keep us up. The problem will be Hughton. He's seems incapable of getting anyone playing above their stations or even to their potential. We'll need players who can win in spite of Hughton. Give a good manager the squad we've got now and he'd probably keep us up. Hence why Hull stayed up despite having one of the worst PL squads of recent years (miles worse than ours that went down, on paper).
-
I thought Beckford was more of a risk than Chopra anyway, so if we got Chopra for £2m (as one paper said) then I'd be relatively pleased. Even if it is just to get us the goals to get promoted as promotion is worth a lot more than a couple of million. Whether Ashley would be willing to spend more than £1m however... Harewood or nowt it is then.
-
Instead we got Hughton, who got five points from twelve games last season.
