  1. What unfounded assertions did I backtrack on? You completely failed to grasp what I said and I had to explain it to you. On the subject of unfounded assertions though...'yet the likes of you who make excuses for Shearer's time in the managers seat will not credit what Houghton's done with a seriously depleted squad,' you don't think that's hypocritical? For what it's worth, I don't think Keegan or Shearer are the answer to everyone's problems and I've never said that, I've given 'credit where it's due' (as you said) and defended them against infantile criticisms, as I've done with Hughton, you just seem blinded by your hatred and paint everyone who has a go at you as some sort of misty eyed idiot without a spectrum of emotions.
  2. Do you actually like anything about NUFC? Hate Shearer, hate Keegan. Love Hughton, love Ashley(?). I'm an adult and therefore have access to more emotions than love and hate. Come back after you have passed through puberty and if you still don't understand I'll explain it to you. Judging by your posts I'd by surprised if you were over 18. I also see you have more emotions than love and hate (or at least you say so, I only ever seem to see hate from you) too bad you lack any brains. If I'm 18 I somehow managed to attend my first game 14 years before I was born If you have been combing through my posts perhaps you could demonstrate your 4 assertions about me. Over to you to see if you can back up your crap. I said 'judging by your posts I'd be surprised if you were over 18', how the hell was I supposed to know when you went to your first game? And I haven't been combing through your posts, no. Everytime I see your distinctive avatar though I always seem to see some sort of negative remark about Keegan, Shearer or the club in general.

    RIP sale thread.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornelius_Vander_Starr Set up by Edwin van der Sar's dad by the sound of it, probably be a good back up for Harper if we could get him.

    Jonas Gutierrez

I put in a f***ing quality cross for LTSBAFC 3s today. I can't do it though. You should have seen it, got headed in. Second assist of the season, that puts me leval with Jonas. Neither of my assists have required a 25 yarder going in the top corner either, I'm mint. Your teammates, I guarantee, will be better than Nicky Butt, Kevin Nolan and Shola Ameobi though so your point is moot.

    Jonas Gutierrez

He put a class cross into the box tonight which shows he can do it. You can see his confidence has dropped in the last year and a half and who can blame him? He's played under Kinnear for god's sake and then goes into an Argentina team playing just as crap. It's easy to to say but put him in a team that is functioning well together and he'll do well. Last season, for the first half at least he was in our top 3/4 players every single game without creating or scoring many because of his work rate, dribbling, tackling and generally carrying the team forward, if we get back in the PL I'll still be glad to have him but put in him in a team managed by a dinosaur like Kinnear and he won't look good, no.
  10. He said in the other thread he only put a quid on.

Be interesting tonight to find out who the best player in the world is, Leo Messi or Jonas Gutierrez?
  12. Forgot about Defoe. Still think Bent is overrated, he's got a cheek complaining he's not in the squad. well id be pissed off if i was not in the squad and i was scoring regularly while someone who ain't even starting for his club and scores once in a blue moon is ahead of me, wouldnt you? Scoring regularly is a bit of an overstatement, should we just pick every English player who scores the most in between international breaks? Bent is on a good scoring run at the moment but he's not a top striker.
  13. Do Bosnia have many stars or European based players? Dzeko (striker) and Misimovic (Mid) both play for Wolfsburg and really play well together. Ibisevic (striker) Salihovic (Mid) both play for Hoffenheim. Pjanic (mMid) plays for Lyon, he's a bit special I recommend a youtube watch. Also Begovic is the reserve keeper for Portsmouth he got a game a while back I think he did ok. There's also been talk of getting Vuckic onside when he turns 18 apparently he is cool with this. I heard this, that he has Bosnian heritage apparently. I also read though that he wants to play for Slovenia.
  14. Forgot about Defoe. Still think Bent is overrated, he's got a cheek complaining he's not in the squad.
  15. Rooney is better but that's about it. Heskey plays well with Rooney, Crouch is crap and Cole is unproven.
  16. Do Bosnia have many stars or European based players? They've got loads of European based players. Bosnia is in Europe.
  17. Hate David James, after every goal he concedes he has this stupid look on his face as if he's thinking 'well done defence!', he's always complaining about Pompey being **** as well, forgetting he's also part of the team.
  18. Where's the hypocrisy? Barton's victim = ****, cage fighters victim's = ****s. Barton = footballer paid millions to keep his nose clean and is contractually obliged to look after his body, cage fighters = can do what they want (within the realms of the law, of course, pedants). That's where the difference lies.
  19. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/10/10/jonas-gutierrez-my-debt-to-the-magpies-72703-24897483/2/ Another former player who may soon become a manager. Dunno where the Chronicle got it from, sounds a bit mental though a la Maradona and Argentina.
  20. They aren't professional footballers though, and don't get paid 60k a week. Barton is obliged to keep his body in tip top condition. And I agree with that, but Alcoholism isn't selective you know. The lad has admitted he has a problem, has faced it and is sorting himself out. He said he was sorting himself out after every incident he's been involved in. I remember him saying when we signed him this was a fresh start for him. Most people tend to be able to avoid prison when making a fresh start. He hasn't been involved with any incidents of violence since the Liverpool City Centre one. The sending off at Liverpool was a stupid, rash tackle but there have been worse before and after that one. So in nearly two years the lad has worked hard to clean up his act. Ok he has a short temper but handbags with the manager is nothing compaired with what he has done before. As if being in prison alone wasn't enough.... You are as bad as the blooming red top papers. Hang him out to dry eh? Hang him out to dry? What the **** are you on about? He's paid sixty ****ing grand a week to behave and he can't even do that. He has though, for the past two years. And? As I said, as if prison wasn't bad enough some people seem to think he needs to do more to be classed as a bad egg. Most people would probably get sacked from their jobs after an incident and prison sentence like Barton's. But lovable rogue Joey gets to keep his massive, undeserved contract which is partly paid for by the fans who earn about 150x less. You can't blame Joey Barton for Ashley not sacking him though, and you can't blame Joey Barton for the wages he is on. He was offered the money in his contract, he wasn't about to go, "Nah mate. I'll play for £300 a week". I don't condone what he did in the past, but he is trying to sort himself out. I can blame him for being crap though and I will.
  21. Link doesn't work Washy. I'll be at the Donny game with my scarf though.
