  1. Hope his request is impolitely rejected.
  2. I'm fairly indifferent to Burnley tbh. Same, totally ambivalent.
  3. Yet another reason why we need this takeover to happen, so this guy doesn't outgrow the club and we can build our defence around him for years to come. Besides his obvious ability and commitment, we have too many shrinking violets in the side and the leadership we get from him is vital to us.
  4. "Yer da's favourite keeper" Rafa must be playing one of the wingers number 10 then, probably Ritchie. Bizarre how Perez is up on his own though, mind.
  5. Triple captained Kane. Fuck it, he who dares fucks up and moans about it.
  6. How big a doubt is Kane due to this illness he has? Tempted to make him triple captain with him having the 2 games.
  7. Reading his post was like watching this That video has elevated that to easily one of the greatest promos ever delivered. Really helped me get my head around what he was saying.
  8. Don Hutchison on Goals On Sunday just now: "I'm not Mike Ashley's biggest fan, but results on the pitch are not his fault" 2+2=5
  9. Well it's a right carry on actually thinking before posting but somehow some of us manage it.
  10. Need to remember too that not only was the summer transfer window a disaster, the window before that we bought nobody whatsoever, and the window before that we sold players we could get decent fees for and bought a load of players primarily to get us out of the Championship. The squad is a pathetic reflection of a wilfully negligent transfer policy that goes back years and years now.
  11. It's completely dependent on January imo. No significant improvements to the first team and it will be tight at best, relegation at worst.
  12. A lot of them can’t even do the basics man. Need all the help they can get then, don't they? Honestly the crowd today were something else, frustration creeped in after about 15 minutes and quickly turned to anger no matter what the players did. If they played it simple or backwards there was shouting and balling, if they went long or took a risk there was shouting and balling, it was an edgy atmosphere throughout and the players were visibly struggling with it. I never used to be one for criticising our fans but the couple of times I've been to games up here this season I've been flabbergasted. A sizeable proportion of them seem to think that carrying on like that will help one of the most limited top flight sides we've ever had. Baffling, and annoying for those who want to he positive and show support. I'd honestly rather they were quiet, it would be more helpful to our cause. Match itself was fucking shite like, goes without saying. 2 sides devoid of quality, terrified to lose. At times it resembled an end of season kick about. The only times we've looked impressive this season are when we've been able to counter attack and find space, up against a side set up cautiously we've got absolutely nowt to offer.
  13. Atmosphere is negative as fuck in here today. Shouting and balling at players for nowt.
  14. Agree Cisse was "progressive" in the sense we were never going down that season so it's about as bold as Ashley has been. Even that one though, was six months after we'd replaced £35m Andy Carroll with Demba Ba on a free.
  15. I guss some people never witnessed Shearer's first 4 seasons in England's top division. 114 apps 23 goals similar rate to Mitrovich. But yeah, Southampton sold him. Not sure what point you're trying to make here given Shearer went to Blackburn for a British transfer record fee.
  16. Ings just got interesting... ... to a number of clubs it seems
  17. Think Rooney is out indefinitely as he was diagnosed with "once a flu, always a flu"
