Don Hutchison on Goals On Sunday just now: "I'm not Mike Ashley's biggest fan, but results on the pitch are not his fault" 2+2=5 -
Yeah it's brilliant, that.

Well it's a right carry on actually thinking before posting but somehow some of us manage it. -
Need to remember too that not only was the summer transfer window a disaster, the window before that we bought nobody whatsoever, and the window before that we sold players we could get decent fees for and bought a load of players primarily to get us out of the Championship. The squad is a pathetic reflection of a wilfully negligent transfer policy that goes back years and years now.

Which sick cunt had a wank after this btw? -
It's completely dependent on January imo. No significant improvements to the first team and it will be tight at best, relegation at worst.

A lot of them can’t even do the basics man. Need all the help they can get then, don't they? Honestly the crowd today were something else, frustration creeped in after about 15 minutes and quickly turned to anger no matter what the players did. If they played it simple or backwards there was shouting and balling, if they went long or took a risk there was shouting and balling, it was an edgy atmosphere throughout and the players were visibly struggling with it. I never used to be one for criticising our fans but the couple of times I've been to games up here this season I've been flabbergasted. A sizeable proportion of them seem to think that carrying on like that will help one of the most limited top flight sides we've ever had. Baffling, and annoying for those who want to he positive and show support. I'd honestly rather they were quiet, it would be more helpful to our cause. Match itself was fucking shite like, goes without saying. 2 sides devoid of quality, terrified to lose. At times it resembled an end of season kick about. The only times we've looked impressive this season are when we've been able to counter attack and find space, up against a side set up cautiously we've got absolutely nowt to offer. -

Atmosphere is negative as fuck in here today. Shouting and balling at players for nowt. -
Agree Cisse was "progressive" in the sense we were never going down that season so it's about as bold as Ashley has been. Even that one though, was six months after we'd replaced £35m Andy Carroll with Demba Ba on a free.

I guss some people never witnessed Shearer's first 4 seasons in England's top division. 114 apps 23 goals similar rate to Mitrovich. But yeah, Southampton sold him. Not sure what point you're trying to make here given Shearer went to Blackburn for a British transfer record fee.

Ings just got interesting... ... to a number of clubs it seems

Think Rooney is out indefinitely as he was diagnosed with "once a flu, always a flu"

Someone's mortal.

Happy Christmas all, hope everyone has nice days.

Think it was just because he was taking his time.

Was really good. On the negative side he was totally skinned by Arnautovic for their first. Regardless, looks much better with Lascelles. He was, but i don't think that's too much of a disgrace. He was left 1 on 1 with Arnautovic who is a powerful runner and can go either side so it was hard for him. I think he tried to slow him down until we got some numbers back bit there was too much space for Arnautovic to run into. Only a top class defender would've stopped him IMO. Yeah I think that's fair, not sure there was much more he could have done given his ability

These fuckers will be cursing their luck that we've turned our form around. -
Betting odds for who will replace God when he hangs up his white tracksuit: Glenn Hoddle 3/1 Tim Sherwood 7/4 Ugo Egiogu 8/1 Alan Curbishley 10/1 David O'Leary 12/1
-
Not sure he would be that good a fit in a 4231 personally, due to the lack of physical presence.

Shearer was rattled as fuck by that like
