  1. Is that a real thing? http://footballburp.com/opinion/forum-thread-of-the-week-newcastle-fans-lambast-alan-pardew-on-way-to-victory/
  2. Cole only scored a couple I'd put into this sort of bracket that I can recall. Home to Chelsea was a good smash and Oldham away was a delightful chip. Probably a few good team goals I'm forgetting, given he was such a potent poacher back then.
  3. If someone were to collate all of these, man. Where's that online article about N-O posters posts during a game?
  4. Cabaye's free kick is excellent like, R.Taylor's isn't anywhere near good enough to be there. Reckon Cisse's at home to Southampton (4-2) was better than Taylor's. Not sure if there are any duplicates player-wise though, so maybe that's why there aren't more than one from Shearer/Cisse, etc? Doesn't explain Beardsley's omission, mind.
  5. Robert's overhead backhell. Class and unique. Was that not in Europe?
  6. Bit petty tbh, not really much need. I've personally got little to no issue with people going if they feel the desperate need, I'm not going to have a pop at countless friends and family for doing that as it's shite patter. I might gently and reasonably make the case for not giving Ashley money and indeed did with my dad who gave up his season ticket after 20-odd years and doesn't miss it. He does miss following an NUFC worth supporting though, we all do. I do think those spending money on NUFC need to hold their hands up and admit they're begrudgingly funding the current set of circumstances though, there's clearly a direct link there. Personally I go to a few aways a season and haven't been to SJP for years even when visiting from London when there's a match on. It's interesting you raise the point of being given a free ticket mind as a guy at my work is lending me his season ticket over Christmas as a thank you for work stuff. I'll be taking my dad along to the boxing day game, don't see the harm in that given they appear to report attendances based on tickets sold anyway. Aye, you're right sorry Unnaturaly sensitive to this debate. Aye nee bother, I am as well tbh as I've had conversations varying from close friends and family who can't help going which you have to respect to a degree, to friends of friends that have called me a knob for not going, who I've ended up falling out with. There's no easy answer but I do think that if you're adamant in your opposition to the owner then giving him a decent proportion of your earnings every year makes no sense. The reality in my experience is that a lot of these people will go on like it's all hunky dory and no worse than we should expect. Had an argument with a bloke who thought a goalless draw at West Ham a few years ago was a fantastic result, it honestly blows your mind sometimes. He's the type that regards this period as supporting us through thick and thin and reckons everyone who doesn't is flaky. A complete tit, in other words. I used to buy allsorts of club shop tat for my family and it was sound as they were happy as Larry with it. It's a shame, where we are now. I also suspect Ashley will spend "big" over the next 2 transfer windows as has been reported, and I'm certain that was due to the AO campaign and even more certain it will paper over the cracks and buy him more time.

  8. I swear to fucking God, if that fucking happens man, yet again man FFS, well if it happens I'll moan geet loads, I'll tell you that now for nowt.
  9. Glad to hear everyone had good weekends!
  10. Aye, they're the ones who complain about the people who still go because the people who still go didn't listen to them when they demanded everyone stop going just coz they'd decided not to go anymore and are now pissed off because they didn't follow their commands. Commands
  11. Wish I'd stuck money on 0-0 like, was massively tempted at 9/1 when I found a random tenner in my PP account.
  12. That's only true if the ground is full every week, which it isn't. Which is why I boycotted when I believed it was a United effort. You could say an extra person might turn up and show discontent from one week to the next... That doesn't make any sense heza, sorry. It doesn't make sense or you just choose not to understand it... It doesn't make any sense because we're talking about pumping money into the club. You boycotted a game and fair play but I assume you still paid for it, and this season you're still paying for it. I think I prefer the "can't whack the habit, need to bring my kids, etc" stuff to the idea of a one man protest making any difference tbh. It's not a one man protest if more join. Which is my whole point. If people like myself join those for a boycott then those who boycott shoudl join for sit-ins or other in ground protests. Even if it's for the sake of one or a few games. It's strength in numbers that matters and whether that be in the ground or out is almost irrelevant because most the cash comes from those outside the ground now anyways watching on Sky. Lots have people have packed it in though, I think their way is better than pumping £500+ in every year. And we've seen with all of the empty seats that attendances can and will drop off when more and more do so. Sorry but it just seems a mad justification to me, if you want to go to the match then fair enough.

  16. Nowt you can do when a less cavalier team parks the bus.
  17. Is this your first game since Spurs away last year? If so, I'll see you as a lucky omen... Nah I missed the league win at Spurs, caught the 4-0 defeat there in the cup though. Last one I went to was QPR away last season, another loss. My record is generally appalling, not that there have been many away wins generally of late.
  18. Definitely looks the real deal like, far too intelligent a player to fall off the radar now.
