I think some of it is down to misplaced spite towards those organising it as well. As in "Who are they to tell me what to do, it'll never work anyway". Fucking depressing when the chance for change is being put on a plate for people in a way that requires zero effort, yet they'll inexplicably ignore it and carry on going /moaning.

Don't leave us hanging man, please tell us who your favourite centre half is.

Nothing incredible about it. It's totally obvious, if you're prepared to use your brain. It was widely reported that Keegan was reprimanded by Ashley for telling the truth to the fans, the truth being that we couldn't challenge the top 4 without significant investment. He may well have been trying to exert pressure on the owner for more funds, but the point I was making is that the way you repeatedly turn things around on one of the best men ever associated with the club in favour of proven liars is absolutely unreal. Very strange. Also, Ashley was quoted many times in his first few years at NUFC saying that he wanted us to challenge the best. Upto you whether he was lying or not. Firstly, apologies for my previous post, which was a bit rude. I must point out though that you have acknowledged that Keegan might have been trying to put pressure on Ashley, so I can't see why my initial comment should be described as 'incredible'. It does get frustrating that any comment on Keegan's behaviour that isn't 100% positive, gets treated as a vicious attack. I described your spin on things as incredible and you've ignored my last sentence, re Ashley saying early doors he wanted us to challenge. Can dig up the quotes if you like.

Cookers aren't cheap these days.

I clearly know fuck-all about accounting but regardless I stand by the opinion that player amortisation has no place whatsoever in accounts related to football clubs.

I'm with Ian here, I don't understand it. I don't understand how we've accumulated £30m+ in a bank account, yet have reported a seemingly separate profit of £19m.

That TF video is outstanding, hopefully it helps convey the message.

They'll include a whole year's worth of Sissoko, Debuchy, Haidara et al rather than the previous set of accounts which only included a few months worth of their collective wage? Ah that's a fair pont. We did lose a few though - Cabaye in Jan, and Simpson, Perch, Harper, Ranger at the start of the season.
-
Why would wages have increased during those 12 months, when we only signed Remy / L De Jong on loan and IIRC moved a few players on?
-
Have they set aside the money for transfers after year-end, and added it to costs somehow? I know the likely answer to that is No but it seems strange that they've referred to it at the end like that, with no other explanation of increased costs.
-
Maybe they gave that £30m to geordie orphans.

Basically 7 cup finals between now and the end of the season then.
