  1. These were BEFORE the collapse. You know, during the first half when we were more than matching Barce-fucking-lona for the 3rd half in a row. That first half was scintillating stuff from us and you spent the whole thing moaning. @nufc123 embarrassing stuff. Far too many posters on here atm who are entitled, manic-depressive, soul-sucking weirdos. Ask yourself why you support us, what joy you're getting out of it then go support some fucker else.
  2. You wouldn't know a great post if it took your piss-soaked kegs to the dry cleaners
  3. Would you like me to quote them? Obscene amount of negativity from start to finish. You're an absolute fanny.
  4. Have a look at your own posts throughout this match. That's embarrassing. Go support Man City or someone, you're not cut out for this.
  5. 100%. So proud of these. Been the better side all 3 halves so far I'd say. HTL.
  6. He starts that press conference by saying: "We press in a different way to most teams. It's a new way of pressing". OK mate
  7. "I just want to find a solution to this" Er stay in your own half for your fucking huddle
  8. Fair play to him man, I was sick of him on the left and wanted us to cash in tbh. He's been so much better up front to the extent I'd love him to stay there for as long as possible. In another universe he comes out of the traps this season looking great filling in at CF, we don't bother buying 2 strikers and buy an extra winger instead. Shame that didn't happen in hindsight
  9. Listen man I know you're desperate to prepare a stick to beat Howe with later but I'm never going to budge and say missing out on Europe is disastrous. I've set out why. The extra revenue is no use if we're spending more than that on players for it. I still want to qualify, obviously. Our par is 8th wage-wise, to remind you we've consistently outperformed that. One season around par, with all we've had to deal with, is not disastrous.
  10. Well within our rights to question statements like "no Europe would be disastrous" when it doesn't really add up whatsoever like.
  11. Nah man, you're catastrophising and I didn't say any of that. Isak left last summer, we might lose a big name or two this summer regardless of whether we qualify for Europe. You're saying we might bring in £26m from the Europa, plus additional gate revenue so let's say another £40m total. Best case scenario. It probably means we need to sign an additional one or two players just for the extra European games which will probably cost more than £40m. Whereas if we don't qualify for Europe we can build the squad without those extra two players. Hence why it's hardly disastrous if we can attack the domestic competitions with a slightly smaller squad, like we did last season.
  12. We need a smaller squad with no Europe, not a tricky concept to get your head around.
  13. We would also need to sign more players if we qualified for it, which probably offsets it entirely.
  14. You keep saying this, it's not really true imo. The Conference League and Europa League are pretty second rate competitions these days, they don't bring in loads of revenue and they probably don't attract many players. Yes we could qualify for CL via EL but one mis-step and it's out the window. It wouldn't be the end of the world it we had a year off. Our future isn't built on it as far as I can see. Edit - covered by @timeEd32 in far fewer words.
  15. I've got me eye on 5th tbh, 6 points off with a decent run-in apart from Arsenal away. It's not likely but not impossible either.
  16. "throw the game"... "oh fuck we're gonna lose the game". I just don't know how it's possible to be this glass-half-empty constantly, but fine.
  17. You appear to be kicking off at the lineup now or are you not? After saying throw the game pre-match and naming 2/3 of the same midfield (Tonali is ill).
  18. The club are only interested in maximising revenue while mitigating any negative PR, they've done nothing in recent years to suggest otherwise. Some great suggestions and feedback on this board and elsewhere but everything points to them edging in the other direction.

    Lewis Hall

It's between Hall and Nico O'Reilly for the starting spot, unless Tuchel plays Tino LB and James RB. I think those are the 4 FBs he'll take anyway. Hall should be well ahead of O'Reilly by now.
  20. We don't know the details but it does not seem Howe had adequate support with Isak, at all. He couldn't honour Staveley's contract promise himself. He couldn't commit to an agreement to sell him in a future window. He was let down badly by Mitchell and others. Players will have gripes at their clubs all the time but they don't usually go scorched earth at a club that has rejuvenated their career. So with that and the Sky 6 all wanting to flex, it was a perfect storm we had to make the best out of. I'd love to know which strikers we should have signed instead of Wissa and Wolte btw, after seeing us lose out on one player after another all summer. And you just know the same posters would be furious if we'd gone with just Gordon + Osula + one other instead.
  21. We missed out on Trafford, Mbeumo, Joao Pedro, Cunha, Delap, Sesko, Ekitike (and probably more we're not aware of). We had no DOF. A competent transfer setup would have probably tied up at least 1 or 2 of those. Sounds like Trafford and JP would have happened with more urgency. Our star striker threw a hand grenade into our window. We needed bodies, compromises needed to be made. You love to take all nuance out of a situation to make the same laboured points over and over and it's an absolute bitch to read. Yeah put you on ignore, whatever. Shouldn't have to. Negative, tedious rubbish in every thread.
  22. kin ell, the hilarity goes on for pages on end
