Why didn't QPR bust our door down for even £1m never mind £3m when he was clearly available with a year left on his contract? The fact is we had to offer him on a free for QPR to show an interest. Weren't QPR in for him quick as a flash once Fernandez bought the club? They weren't buying anyone at all before that.

Mancini also commented after the match something along the lines of "that's the last time a player takes a radge when getting substituted". He does need to take control of it imo, it's getting a bit daft.

Should just put him in the reserves for the rest of his contract. A likely situation now. He wouldn't give a shit though, don't understand why they didn't bin over the summer (surely there'd have been a taker) I was amazed they didn't take the Corinthians money. Assuming that it was an actual bid it definitely seemed decent for all parties. Tevez fucks off back to South America, City get rid and Corinthians get their ad campaign player. It's not like they took the piss with their offer either, unless there was much more to it than met the eye. And even if there was, it's not like they can't afford it. Can remember reading that there were a lot of issues with that transfer. Corinthians wanted to pay in quite a few installments, Man City wanted to see bank guarantees, time concerns given the Brazilian transfer window closing and that Man City probably thought they could sell him elsewhere if it didn't come off. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jul/20/corinthians-carlos-tevez-manchester-city

Mancini: Tevez DID refuse to come on as sub.

Knew I should have played it safe and had Man Utd as draw/lose no bet rather than -1.

Can just imagine Mancini squaring up to Barry at HT, much like Robin Williams and Matt Damon at the end of Good Willing Hunting, Mancini saying "It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault" with Barry collapsing into Mancini's arms in floods of tears.

Can feel the hate oozing out of that post, forgive me if I'm wrong. Do think City were the better side for 25 mins or so though, but also that that 2nd goal will kill them.

Dey win loads, innit. Wish I'd picked Napoli instead of Lyon in my accy now.

Just how cockneys talk at the end of the day, saying was instead of were. Be like telling a geordie to stop saying gannin instead of going etc.. Gannin's not exactly difficult to screen out when you work for a bunch of corporate wankers, saying "us" instead of "wer" and "me" instead of "uz" is nearly impossible though. So yeah, I'll just about let him off because it's his accent, it's just irritating that the words "was" and "were" are inter-changeable in the cockney dialect. Seems like sounding thick for the fun of it, much like "aks".

Not as bad on the replay but still a pen imo, he's mental jumping in like that. Tame effort from Dzeko.

How the fuck wasn't that a stonewall penalty on Silva?
-
He does say 'were', e.g. "It were a good performance".

Sod it, I'm just going to copy that. If it doesn't come off I'll buy one less packet of menthol filters this month and my lungs will pay the price. -

Man Utd -1, Lyon, Man City DNB - 7/1. -
that bit is just waiting to be made into one of those ameobi memes like Maybe he's in on it.

Very pleased about this. Good professional, great attitude, offers us a lot on the pitch. Most of all I'm glad we've done this on the quiet without any bitching from either side in the press, refreshing.
-
That Ron Atkinson comment, fuck me.
-
His overall bill for replacing dismantled Corby trouser presses is frightening.
-
They had enough chances to win 38 games and their defence never usually lets in soft goals like that, I think we'd be wise to just call it an off-day from them.
-
Wouldn't even be whispers of it if we weren't doing well imo.
-
Eh, the Bruce email's always come out proper sharpish after their matches, don't they? I presumed Bruce bores some poor PR girl to tears who then 'ghost writes' it.

Fucking hell, I'm pissed off reading the same old shite from him, God knows how the mackems must feel.
