So only Gordon is not committed -
This has just become the Eddie Howe thread.

If we don't absolutely nail this next window, it's gonna set us back. I don't know how to approach it. If we lose 3 purples, cut our losses either Wissa or Nick, that's a lot to replace before we even add anything to improve the first team. Grim

For a team that can't afford to make a mistake in the transfer market, what a whiff.
-
He needs to be here next season. Just so we can be sure. I could see the club sacking him if there’s zero uptick in performance in the last 6 games. I’d be pretty annoyed at him if he couldn’t get a tune out of this squad. Annoyed because I want him to stay. All the talk about last summer window has absolute merit, but he also has to be better.
-
I wanted him to get next season before the game at the weekend, and that’s still my stance. One more shit game in a shit season full of shit games isn’t going to make me 180. however putting aside all of the clubs failings in the past few years that have majorly contributed to this downturn, I can acknowledge that Eddie hasn’t been great in his role of coach. Doesn’t seem to be learning anymore, despite spending a lot of his press conferences telling us otherwise. The team he has right now is capable of playing an OK brand of football. I’m not expecting the world. So he needs to deliver that. Don’t care about the league position. Just start developing a style of football now, so we don’t have to start from scratch in the summer.
-
The press conference baffles me in hindsight. Was so sure we’d look different after listening to the work the coaching staff put in over the break.

What are we watching -
although we know each other IRL, it’s nice to have a non combative discussion on here about the club.
-
Fair. I think we pivoted to lesser players for similar fees. I don't think it was a pivot in approach, but maybe they didn't have time to draft a new list. Though I'd hope we'd always have a database of players that lean more to potential (granted Big Nick probably falls into this category, but with a big fee)
-
Should we have pivoted?
-
I never said anything about Howe out. Anyway, I'm glad the club are changing their approach this summer after realising it didn't work.
-
They'd both improve our first team. That's your criteria.
-
If thats the only criteria for good scouting, then we should go for Lamine Yamal and Haaland in the summer.
-
Going after Ekitike, Sesko, Cunha, Mbeumo or Delap was poor scouting.

Get Willock in the shop window. -
Just want to see a good mix of transfer fees. They can't all be 50m.
-
Tonali will go if he wants to. That's what I reckon.

We're gonna play hardball all of a sudden?

Disclosure, I'm Eddie IN. But on one hand it's nice to see Eddie answers to someone. Feels like he's been his own boss for a few seasons now. This is what we all wanted with the board level positions being filled. On the other hand, wish it wasn't being demonstrated in this way.

It's all coming apart at the seams a tad, isn't it.
