I said this from the start. Ask someone if they want to move away from SJP and they say no. Show them a picture of a new stadium, decent capacity, located on Castle Leazes/Leazes Park and then ask them. Ask a season ticket holder if they are willing to pay £1,000, or £1,500 for their season ticket, or move and pay somewhat similar to what they are paying? Ask a season ticket holder if they are willing to go 2/3 years without going to games, or move to Castle Leazes/Leazes Park? The dynamic changes when there is an actual alternative, and also when someone is asked to make a sacrifice in order to keep it as it is.

So I went into the club shop today. It does look and feel much better. It is a lot less stuffy than it used to feel, although how that feels on a match-day or shirt release day will be a different matter. I think they could have done with getting some better shelves, I don’t like the look of shelves that have the viable adjustable holes in them, but very few shops go for those types of shelves. Ok I’m being a bit picky there, and possibly looking at things from an interior designers point of view, but still. There were a few shelves that had repeated stock, mostly the key rings and such, which were located at both the till queueing shelves, and also an area on their own on the ground floor. The selection is decent, and I think will increase as stock levels rise. Going back to someone mentioned about them thinking it would sell Adidas things as well. I understand it’s not an Adidas store, and that’s a good thing, however the mannequins had a variation of Adidas trainers on them. Although they are not available to buy, it would be nice to have like a QR code next to them that linked to them on the Adidas app/webpage. The NUFC logo rug on the top floor looks great, and I honestly think they should sell it for kids bedrooms, and man-caves. It appears to be just a bespoke rug for the stores aesthetics though. Fuck loud the music though, seems like every clothing shop is doing that these days. No need for it to be so loud.

Just further to my earlier response. The club store has them in stock in little pots on the down stairs tills (the actual tills, not the queueing system shelves), they are in a matchbox like piece of card.

They will need space for people before and after the match.

Aye it was grim. It was one of those where we should have been winning, and if we did you thought maybe Bruce would fluke his way to a cup win for us. However we came up against a team who had a good run of form going with confidence. It didn’t matter that they played their 2nd team, the confidence ran through their club, and we were no match to it.

I think they are just limited on space really. Unless you extent into Shearers, there isn’t anywhere else to go. They should really have kept one of the containers in the Stack back for a small club kiosk with the best selling items.

Looks like it will be coming in from next season then.
-
Not anymore it’s not. They changed it this season.

Is the semi-final played at a neutral venue? Seems shit that if we get there, we could play someone like Liverpool away.
-
Nice. Is the semi-final played at a neutral venue?
-
He was, his upper torso and head was offside.
-
Whoever it was who crossed it into him was offside from the freekick.
-
Was offside on the replay. But they never showed a clearer view of the Chelsea chance, which also looked offside.
-
Sky mustn’t even interview them.
-
No mention of how he tried to snap Gordon earlier in the move?
-
He’s fucking custard like.
-
Is that who it is?
-
I’m 2 minutes behind.
-
Get in!

Our co-commentator here in the U.K. is saying we don’t have many locals in the squad.

This co-commentator is talking fucking shite.

Arsenal have fucked us up this way for decades.

Yeah it will be, but my preference would be a spruce up of the castle one. We have used that a lot in the past as well, however I guess the NUFC works well for merchandise. I wouldn’t be surprised if we do go for the castle one, then go for the NUFC one for merchandise where it is easier to use, and Retro style kits.
-
Nah. I’m assuming the club will want to keep gaining as much merchandise as they can.

Going heavy on the NUFC logo aren’t they?
