The only time I have been in the Stack has been on a Sunday. Once was when I was awaiting the Champions League patch to be applied to my shirt, the other was for the Wor Flags events. There was good numbers in the Stack on both occasions, but if you tell me that those people will be going in to town on a Sunday to day drink on those levels without the Stack, and without a match being on, then you’re a fucking liar.

Pub opposes other pub across the road from opening.

They are objecting to the housing being built near the SOL on the grounds that ‘It prevents them from expanding the SOL in future’.

If Isak had ripped his contract up and got away with doing it, then it would have changed world football instantly. It would overnight make contracts worthless, and would mean that transfer fees are a thing of the past. There is a reason why players go for such huge amounts, legally they can’t just rip a contract up.

Apparently UEFA can’t ban multi-club ownership outright due to EU laws, however they are free to make having it as difficult as possible. The other problem is that many of bigger clubs own other teams.

It will be the official consultation with supporters. It’s just good to know that it’s scheduled, meaning that they anticipate movement.

Supporter talks on the stadium is on the agenda for the season ahead.

Yeah, it looked like light piling machines. I’m not an engineer, seen some similar stuff on TV where they are taking core samples and are doing soil tests. So I’m guessing that they were looking at the ground structure conditions.

For what it’s worth, either earlier this year, or late last year (possibly around this time as shirt releases were happening) I parked at SJP carpark, and there were people doing some sort of tests over the fence in Leazes Park. Their vans were even parked in SJP carpark. The location would have lined up exactly with the rumoured location Edwards said where the southern end of the stadium would overlap the Leazes end. From what I recall, it was only just afterwards that he came out with that site location in the paper.

Going to be government bouncers on the doors to make sure you have the right ID.

Tony Bloom has sold at every opportunity. Parish would sell at the right price at the right club, but in all fairness they sold Olise to Bayern instead of an English side, he also sold Zaha abroad (the 2nd time). Levy wouldn’t sell, I think he would used too, but he held on to Kane for years and sold him at the right time to Bayern. He also kept a hold of Son until he was past his usefulness.

Liverpool to take them out of the Isak race.

Fucking hell, McManaman downplaying it because Liverpool never won it.

Genuinely think if Arsenal put in any sort of title challenge last season then Liverpool would have bottled it. Bottled it in the Champions League, bottled it against us in the League Cup final, and bottled it in the 3rd round in the FA Cup. Over the league season there was enough small games to get them to the title, but on the big day, they fold under Slott.

Are they taking piss? No retake? And it’s not corrupt?

Eze did that against us and missed as well.

As if you believe he’s really injured.

New penalty rules. Crystal Palace now have to take penalties from the centre circle.

Yeah, I’m usually one for the underdogs, but not them. In saying this though, this giant needs to be shot in the fucking head, then burnt.

Liverpool fans are always lost when they don’t have YNWA played over the tannoy to let them know when to get going.

Bottling it so he doesn’t have to take a penalty against Liverpool.

They were nowhere near the unbeatable force they were claimed to be last season. It seems as if they managed to get Salah to win games and looked a shadow of themselves when he didn’t put in a performance. In the home game against them we were the better team, and they were saved from conceding a last minute goal by the referees whistle. They were the better team in the away match, but we had issues and also didn’t want to show our hand for our match against them in the cup final. In the cup final we were obviously the better team, 2-1 flattered them and they didn’t really come to life until late on in that match.
