Another says disciplined, and there is one that says hard working.

Anyone else’s top left hand corner of the screen blue?

  4. Hard to say. They already have a player in who can’t play for them today. Their transfer policy makes it possible for them to bring in 5 players that no one has heard of who will make all the difference.
  5. Not going to use the other 3 subs that they are allowed?

It’s Southampton, but Southamptons away kit is in Shrewsbury colours.
  7. Yeah. I think our 3rd shirt is one of the best though, and it would have been complete if it had the NUFC badge over the current one, much like the anthem jacket does. The green one is like a template they have for keeper kits, or team wear stuff you can buy for your 5 a-side or Sunday team. I have seen more people wearing it than I thought I would. I guess a lot of people will be wearing it to get back at people who mock us for the Saudi connections though. Although it looks like it’s selling better than I thought it would, it’s not going to sell in the same numbers as last years away shirt, or even the white and green shirt from last year.
  8. The Premier League blocked their deal with Riyadh Air a couple of years ago. It would have been record deal for them, and I’m guessing the Premier League didn’t want the Saudi’s in locked in raising the bar for shirt sponsorships, because it then means that we can come to them with bigger deals.
  9. Either last year, or the year before.
  10. It wasn’t called for the push, it was called because he was too close to the wall as the ball was played. Technically it’s the right decision, but that decision is only ever going to be called in favour of the big 6 clubs.
  11. That Forest shirt is nice, a trefoil logo in place of the modern Adidas one would have absolutely made it.
  12. It’s a 4 year deal this time around, however they are paying the same as they are paying less per season with more games included.
  13. They have been selling off the remaining stock for a while, there doesn’t seem to be any replenishment of certain sizes, and it’s no longer on the shelf in the club stores.
  14. It’s not a surprise, it was expected since the Adidas deal was revealed. It is one of the main reasons why I bought a Mags+ membership this season.
  15. I agree with your point, however I just thought I’d say this. No one is coming in for Bruno now, his chance to go to a bigger club was last summer when we had PSR issues, and he had a release clause, no one stumped up the money. At the age of 28 in November, the big clubs in Europe are not going for him. He might get a move to Turkey or Saudi Arabia in a couple of years when he’s on the decline, but by that point we’d be looking to replace him in anyway. He did a documentary for Sky recently, and it’s clear that eventually he wants to go back to play in Brazil at some point. There maybe a club or two between now and then, but his next move is not an upwards move.
  16. About 20 years ago I was with my dad whilst he worked, he drives a wagon. Anyway we went to Wrexham, and even then as a teenager I could see that the area had deprivation. For the people of the town, and the supporters who were there during the hard times I’m pleased for them. It is about time they had something to cheer about, and hopefully their fame results in the town itself getting some investment outside of the football club. I think everyone initially thought that the story would go wrong with a bunch of Hollywood guys buying a club, and thinking it was nothing more than a PR and/or vanity project. Their owners have actually been some of the best owners in football though, and you can tell that they have fully embraced it. Although they did know about promotion and relegation, the whole point of buying a club was to get them promoted through the leagues. On the other hand though, so far everything has went right for them, I know they missed out on promotion in the first season, but since then it has been 3 promotions in a row. What happens when they hit that buffer, which will likely be this season? What happens if in a few years they are no closer to getting into the Premier League, or have been relegated back into League One and can’t seem to establish themselves any higher? What happens if they do make it to the Premier League? The demands placed upon them to even have a chance will be much more than what they have put in so far. Will they still enjoy it when they have hit the glass ceiling and they are no longer winning every week? If they do make it to the Premier League will they cash in, presumably to a consortium who just want to run the club as merchandise venture and not focus on the team itself? So far I think everyone is saying that it’s good as it stands, but have the knowledge to await their reaction when they do hit the buffers.
  17. Their fans are going to come up, go around town before the match doing Isak chants before the match, during the match they will sing and chant about him, have banners up about him, go into town afterwards doing the same to antagonise people, probably try to throw a bunch at the first person who tells them to fuck off, then make themselves to be the victim when said person smacks them back. All of our bars would be well advised to refuse them entry.

Yeah, I noticed quite a few. I think at the end the stadium announcer mentions a crowd that is 2k-3k below capacity.

I said it in the other games thread. The drop off in quality between our game and their game was big. There were no really runs with any kind of pace. The passing was slow, it felt like they were passing to the nearest player and not with any sort of plan. Sunderland will face tests like never before this season. I honestly think Burnley next weekend will be hard for them. It’s Burnley’s first home match, it’s a fixture that Burnley know they need to make the most out of, and Burnley will make it difficult for the lower half of the table to create chances against them. Sunderland's crowd was with them today, their first game back etc. The big test for them is how they will react when the crowd isn’t there? What happens when they go a goal down? What happens if they are on the back of a defeat in the previous game and the good buzz has gone? What happens when it gets to October/November and the weather turns, and they realise that they can either watch it at home or down the pub? For as much as their crowd can prove the difference when they are with them, like today, and against Coventry etc, they are equally a barrier when hey turn, and as we have seen so many times before from them, they do turn quite easily.
  20. Asking the club to sign a waiver not to take them to court over illegal rules would be an admittance of illegal activity, and itself a further illegal activity. Of course they haven’t signed a waiver.
  21. Potter for first manager sacked is looking a decent bet. They have looked so poor today.
