A long way to go in this game yet, but we have a two goal lead and they have had to take off two of their better players. Theirs no reason why we shouldn't just be patient with the ball in the second half and control the game. Let us set the pace of the game now because Stoke managed to do just that a few times in the first half.

Here is a point. When their goal keeper came out to clear the ball off Ba, should he have been given a red card? Yes he got the ball but his studs were showing, had it been anyone else on the pitch then they would have been off.

Unlucky first half for Cabaye, off the ball his pressure has been fine but his passes have been a little weak and theirs been a few that have taken a deflection and as a result placed it into Stoke's possession. I'd like to see more of Jonas getting forward, Stoke seem to be having two men marking Ba and Obertan now so I'm sure if we played it onto the the left wing more it would stitch them. Over all we have done well though theirs been a few times we have needlessly given away some throw in's. Talking of throw in's, the referee needs to stop Stoke from being able to take a throw in a good 10-15 yards further then they were conceded. At the end of the first half we conceded a throw in their half yet Stoke took it 5 yards in our half.

He's got a useful skill, can't blame a team for taking advantage of it. He's set up 42 goals from his throw in's And I've set up 86 goals from my weak back passes but I would still consider myself a better player.

Why? Guthrie just doesn't seem to be Premiership quality to me. Gosling though isn't a finished article has more potential than what Guthrie has. Guthrie has a similar dreadness about it as Smith playing for us does. That's just bollocks tbh. Comparing Guthrie's NUFC performances with Smith's is laughable. Obviously I would rather Guthrie play ahead of Smith, but also I would rather take my chances with Russian roulette than play Smith.

Just looking at the SPL and Rangers are already 9 points clear at the top and 12 points clear of Celtic though Celtic do have a game in hand.

I think the Premiership highlights have to be on free to air TV by law, they're in that "protected" group. I didn't say lose the Premiership highlights right to Sky, I meant just the BCC losing them altogether. ITV f***ed it up with the shitty "The Premiership" highlights show. If I was the head of 4 or 5 I'd be saying right lets get out there and go for those free to air games and hight lights, then somebody might actually watch us (more so in the case for 5). neither of the progs were all that bad. theres only so much you can do with highlights outside of goals and big incidents. most of it is stuff you just aren't interested in if it's not your team. ITV fucked up mostly because it was about the same length of time as MOTD but it had adverts in it. You used to have 2 sets of adverts during and after the key game before other games were shown. If it had have ran for a longer time with the adverts then it could have worked.

The fact is that Sky currently have the rights to 75 league games a season (thats not taking into account the 80-90 Premiership games a season shown on Sky and ESPN). If I couldn't watch it the first time around (assuming it was on sky TV) then how the fuck could I watch it the 2nd time around. If Sky and the likes are going to insist on being able to cash in on live games then it's only right they can't show the highlights as well.

I wonder how long it will be until the can no longer afford the rights to MOTD? Sky shouldn't be allowed to buy the highlights part of it. They already have pretty much all of live shows, apart from the 10 or so the BCC has, why should they be able to have the highlights as well? Highlights should be for free to air channels.

I wouldn't want any sort of religious place of worship on my door step. My dad used to live next to a church and it fucking annoyed me on a Sunday morning. Theirs no fucking reason why anyone should be ringing a bell at 7:00am on Sunday morning in the middle of a residential area. Don't get me started on the way the fuckers parked their cars as well.
