Do Sheffield United only have 3 players on the pitch? Absolutely fucking no one anywhere.

This proposed amendment would make it against the law for a foreign state to own a club, including sovereign wealth funds.
-
Yeah, I have mentioned this many times on here, but new mega stadiums will soon be the norm in the Premier League, and I think it will lead to closer league. The American owners want it, and people financing these stadiums will want it, and the finances raised through these stadiums will create it as other clubs won’t be able to compete.

It is worth pointing out that this is only a proposed amendment, made in the House of Lords, by a Lord after its second reading. We are now in the committee stage where proposed amendments are discussed, and potentially voted upon. It would only take 1 dissenting voice/vote at this stage to block this amendment.
-
They seem to be indicating that it would apply to the top 5 leagues in England only. It won’t happen though. In the same proposed amendment, it forbids anyone from government being an owner and/or a board member of a club, with no distinction between foreign governments, and our own. This means that Karen Brady would have to choose between her daytime job at West Ham, or her role within the House of Lords. She alone obviously isn’t going to vote for it, and she would be supported by others who would see it as overreach.

It would really even force a sale per se. All it would mean is that control is handed from PIF to a private equity firm, like Man City is. Man City would only fall foul of this rule because a director has a role within the Abi Dhabi government, if he was either removed as director, or his role, then they would comply. All of this is assuming that this amendment passes. Just 1 Lord or Baroness objecting to it within the House of Lords will be enough to block it, and then it’s still got to go to the House of Commons to pass there as well. The article even says it is very unlikely to pass, and it’s just a Lord who is a Liverpool fan pushing his luck. I was watching them talk about this bill last night, and they were arguing over what it should be titled, and then some Lords and even Karen Brady reminded everyone that some aspects could lead to litigation, and also wouldn’t be in compliance with UEFA, and FIFA laws. This was a discussion over the title of the bill, and the inclusion of the word ‘sustainable’.

I told you all about this last week. The amendment still hasn’t passed review in the House of Commons, they started debating amendments yesterday, but didn’t get past what the bill should be titled as. Anyway, one of the most prominent Lords speaking in the House of Lords and debating it, is the Lord of Whitley Bay, who is a Newcastle United fan. I told you all that I had emailed him, and emailed another Lord about this amendment, but all I got was ridicule.

I was more on about how they have made an image of what the SOL would look like if it was expanded, and there is hardly anyone there.

Falcons, and Kingston Park has been put up for sale. I wonder if PIF will go in for them.
-
I don’t actually recall any Black Friday deals by Castore. I’m sure the shirts didn’t get reduced until after Christmas, I remember because I’ve been waiting for deal on them in the last couple of years. It seems odd to offer deals right now as well, as plenty of people by football shirts and merchandise as Christmas presents.

If they fall foul, they’ll either introduce a rule where new owners have a time period of ‘investment’ that only goes back 18 months, or they’ll let them off with a fine claiming they won court case like Leicester.
-
They have been saying since the summer that whatever they do, would cost between £1bn at the lowest end, and £4bn at the highest.

I mean, we did score a brilliant goal against Arsenal with 1 of the fewest crosses we have made. Surely the odds of us scoring from a cross is higher than the odds of us playing pass in circles on the wings?
-
Quick question. Who is going to buy him? Also, let’s assume someone did, at best they would be a miserable Championship team, which one of those is going to pay him the wages that we do?
-
What infuriates me, is we have no one who can cross a ball. On the left we had mostly Hall just cutting back inside. On the right everyone just cut back inside, and ended up ending our attack, to start again. Cross the fucking ball man, it’s no good making 5 passes on the wing, to bring it back to you defensive line. This game also highlighted how ineffective Gordon is if teams sit deep. He needs that space in behind, otherwise he offers nothing. How the fuck we are 3 years into the takeover and still haven’t signed anyone for RW is beyond me. Forget about CB’s for now, RW is our weakest position.

This. If we miss out of Europe again, then it will be seen as not progressing. Even without the season we gained CL football, the plan would have been to have European football either last season, or this season.
-
Anyone but Isak, anyone else is replaceable.
-
It did in the summer as well, and we decided to use that time to chase a deal that wasn’t there.
-
I don’t think he is. He has always been too inconsistent.
-
Not good enough for us, needs to be moved on.
-
Some players know that they won’t be there is we manage to get some PSR breathing space, and they play like they have given up and are happy to see their contract out. Out of everyone we have in our squad who we wouldn’t sell, I don’t think any Premier League team would touch them, and no Championship team, or team in Europe/MLS could afford their wages.
-
Something needs to fucking change. At some point we are just going to have to fuck it, go against PSR, and fight the cunts in court. Fucking shit how we have all the money in the world, and have Murphy up the wing, a CB we got on a free from Bournemouth, a crock on the bench as our back up striker. Willock who is nowhere near good enough for where we want to be.
-
Infuriating that it has been for years, and our weakest point, and we haven’t done anything about it.
