Pretty sure he’s had run in’s with Adidas in recent years and they did go through a spell of pulling stuff from his stores, which coincided with Adidas opening up stores everywhere. Someone mentioned the other day about them thinking the Premier League having a store to buy merchandise from is a good idea. I think that they have thought of that, but obviously relegation and promotion proves to be a challenge, although I guess it wouldn’t make much difference if it was the club themselves fulfilling the orders and the Premier League getting say like 10% of any fee of what they bring through. It would certainly be a challenge for the fat cunt to try and overcome.

If he’s going to Chelsea then I expect no less than 1 Billion dollars.

In all fairness I think it’s the only place in the U.K. that you could get away with it. Lots of tourists, in an area where no club has claimed territory etc. I don’t think it would last long elsewhere in the U.K., even Manchester. Well maybe Belfast aside as they have Liverpool, Man Utd, Celtic, and Rangers club stores, and have no real big club of their own.

The only difference between Flamengo’s elite Adidas deal and other Adidas Eltie clubs is that Flamengo’s range is only carried in Adidas stores in South America, not world wide, and they do not get the long sleeved option.

PSG are ending the Jordan link up, they are teaming up with a London club soon, I presume Spurs, but it could be Chelsea.
-
Aye, I have been mentioning that a bit recently. I’d hope that if PSG decided to open up a store here, it wouldn’t last very long.
-
I know it may not be practical with rent costs in Newcastle and having a megastore already, but I’d love to see a return of club stores in the city centre aside from SJP.
-
Also didn’t help buy PSG’s takeover which meant that when we bought cheap players in France who could go to the next level, PSG decided to make their default destination to Paris.

Noddles better be in the shape of our club badge for me to buy it.

Going to be disappointing if come new kit launch day the club store is shut for renovations, but it is massively required. I think the place has had the same leak above the escalator since it first opened. I’d love to see more merchandise licenses handed so our future supporters and our collectible supporters can have something to buy. Time was we had a Monopoly board game, and even a club video game. Now we can’t even get a Subbuteo club branded game.

Well maybe not.

Nah, spending the Trippier money.

I was watching the game the other day, congratulations by the way. Anyway you could see some of the sofa type couches that our owners were on about. Seemed to be out of the way, but still a good view, a lot more inoffensive then some may think.

This is why we’ll get a new stadium. We’ll need more fans in to the ground, and we’ll need more hospitality. Let’s take my NFL team for example. Indianapolis’ Metro area has a population similar to that of the North East, although it is slightly over double the area in landmass. Anyway, their stadium has 139 corporate boxes. You look at SJP and we have hardly any. Premier League football clubs will be looking at what the NFL are doing and wanting to emulate it. We’ll get a bigger stadium, and we’ll get one that has a heavy corporate hospitality element to it, like Spurs’ new stadium.

With the prices they are buying players for, aye something like that.

Fuck. I know he’s limited but he’s a good option. He does great at tracking back as well, and he’s so likeable. How am I going to tell my kitten who is named after him this news?

Ok, here is my 2 cents. People keep on banging on about Trippier staying to coach, being good around the squad etc. However there is no indication that he is going to go down that path, and if he is, if it is with us. A year ago people were saying the same about Ritchie, and now with FFP being tight, people are realising that having him on the books in terms of wages is possibly holding us back. If we are looking to improve in this window then we have only a few sellable players at the club we could get some money from, these are Trippier, Wilson, Joelinton, Bruno, Isak, and Botman. The last 3 are the ones people think/hope have a long term future here. Trippier is coming to the end of his career. We already know that he can’t cope with 2+ games a week. In fact for a few months now people have been saying his performances have dropped a bit, and his set pieces have been an issue for longer. With Wilson, yeah he is great when he’s fit, but he’s always in and out of fitness. Like Trippier he is coming towards the end of his career, and at a time when we should be looking to replace him. I’m not sure what the club are thinking, but from my perspective, I’d rather lose be losing Trippier, and Wilson now, then lose either of the other 3, plus Tonali in the summer. This also isn’t an Ashley situation where you know we are not going to replace either of those players, ok we might have to wait until the summer because of others clubs being reluctant to sell, but we will replace them. In the case of Trippier we arguably already have.

Aye but how many clubs have an owner who can build a new stadium and pay for it themselves? Us, and Man Utd? Even Villa are scaling back their stadium redevelopment.
