The whole tickets thing doesn’t bother me. We know there is an international membership which effectively skips a queue for tickets, and the club like all clubs have always been accommodating to supporter groups and individual fans travelling from different countries. The thing that bothers me is that she’s just jumped on the band wagon within the last 2 years. Going to her and asking her opinion on things when the club are ready to change the club badge, or more pressing questions on what to do with the stadium etc when she doesn’t understand the history of the club is the issue, massively further hindered that she appears to be a glory hunter.

Could have been worse, but considering what we have been getting in draws and what we could have got, we did ok. It was getting worrying when the likes of Liverpool, Spurs, Man City, and even Brighton were left in it with not many ties left to be drawn.

I was speaking to Falcons fan today after mentioning that I went to Kingston Park yesterday. He says that him and a lot of fans have the impression that sooner or later that PIF/consortium will buy them. Apparently they are keen for an refurbished Kingston Park to become the home base for the women and academy teams. I’m not sure how much interest they would have in Rugby because the figure just aren’t there, but then if the Saudi’s are more interested in just doing a clean sweep in sport then it would make sense.

Does he not have a season/corporate ticket? Was a regular before becoming a referee wasn’t he?

I saw on Twitter that he picked up one of our fans after they fell over each other when we had scored.

Fuck me man. Clogger O’Nien aside, they never flung into challenges because they are professionals who know that if they do they run the risk of a suspension, giving away dangerous free kicks/penalties, not the least that they respect their opponents enough to not seriously injure them.

I think though a problem with Spirit of 73 is that they only seem to do it once in a while when the club are asking for fans to turn up to create a record crowd etc. Generally they don’t bother and I think they have dipped in and out of saying they are not doing anymore. I do think a lot of it is down to a lot of mackems just not prepared to put their money in, or even help. We already know that loads of them turn up on free or reduced tickets when they do bother going (not a bad thing, especially considering the economic situation of the area and region in general). However when that happens and they respond to those who don’t bother or just love to give them grief, they will never get anywhere, and give them a reason to suspect them.

Replay, lots of injuries, lots of bans, then possibly an Arsenal win on penalties after the two teams have spent 210 minutes kicking the shit out of each other.
