I doubt it. Adidas has a Newcastle store recently, and closed it after only a couple of years. People over estimate how much our fans will buy stuff. They will easily be able to get the stuff from either SJP, hopefully a Metrocentre club shop, and online (including direct via Adidas). You also have the section of our fans who are quite happy to nip into Sports Direct. I also think someone is close to or has agreed a deal for that unit, regardless I can’t see Adidas moving back into Newcastle anytime soon.

Achievements and ambition has no bearing on the fit and proper persons test. Until our takeover, the only thing that mattered is if you were going to saddle the club with debt it specific ways. They’ll fucking finish Everton off if they takeover them.

Rarely do midfielders ever get classed as the best. I know Morris won the Ballon d’or a few years back, but I think he was only given it because of the backlash of Ronaldo/Messi winning it every year, and Croatia doing well at the World Cup. He’s going to have some serious competition with Mbappe, Haaland, and when Isak hits his beast mode.

Absolutely no creativity.

I’m not saying he is, I’m saying the opposite and defending him. What I’m saying is that there is a difference between fans and journalists on Twitter using it as a means to have a go at our fans, or play down our achievements, and people like him who have had genuine beliefs. I’ve not seen the videos, but going by the thumbnails I can imagine it’s a bunch of kids playing ‘what aboutism’ with him, and saying he can’t be a true NUFC fan etc.

People need to be able to recognise and separate the people who bring up the Saudi stuff because they are jealous/fearful of our takeover, and those with genuine concerns. Those with genuine concerns are not personally attacking you because they disagree with the Saudi national team playing here.

Seems like Carlisle United are getting a mega money American takeover.

He looks like a younger but still old version of Martin Keown.

I went through the Tyne Tunnel earlier, and they had the Black & White Adidas advertisements up on the screen.

All clubs in Saudi have been given money from the Sports minister. It’s just the PIF owned clubs have been given a blank chequebook. Even lower leagues teams in Saudi are being given money to buy players from our EFL teams, and even non-league players.

Aye, Arsenal’s and Man Utd’s this year was £80, that’s the normal person wear one as well. You’ve got to think that with inflation they might try and push it to £85-£90 next season. They are getting a bit much now like.
-
Yeah they do. They often have the 3G pitch (which they paid for), however sometimes the school kicks off them onto the grass pitches and says they can because they are on their land, even though they have an agreement with them, and paid for the pitch.

People want the opportunity to build their own points now. The cup final gave light to a problem that has been coming. People who have been going to away games on the tickets of others couldn’t get a final ticket despite attending most away games, or a good amount over the years. They want it to change so that they can get a cup final ticket next time. It was never problem before because for 20 years we never got a final, and the biggest games were Man Utd, Liverpool etc away. That’s why there was a demand to change it, and that’s why the club have changed, as well as Premier League mandate about switching to digital ticketing.

How do you know they have not been to an away game in their life? I’ve been to away games, but I doubt I have came across you at them, thousands of fans go to away games. There was a problem with some season ticket holders selling in their away tickets and being able to pick and choose which games they could go too. It was getting impossible for fans even with a season ticket to get to a match. This was made more difficult the fact that family members could pass on their season tickets. So you had a case of a father who had a season ticket since they existed, passing it on this son who had all those loyalty points. Even when I went to away games and had a season ticket, the majority of my tickets came from people who had a season ticket and sold their away ticket on to points collect. The Brighton match was a sellout to season ticket holders. The gaps in the crowd are due to those who have bought a ticket and either sold them without informing the club and the buyer got caught out, or couldn’t sell them on because of the new transfer system. The level of gaps in the crowd indicates that this is a bigger problem than many existing season ticket holders admitted, and just goes to prove the point of those who say that they are being locked out of games.

My stepdad helps them out, he’s their kitman. Not sure if they get anyone turning up to watch them. Apart from the pub after the match, they don’t have any facilities, less than North Shields.

Why does Mark Goldbridge sound like Alan Partridge has suddenly got interested in football? https://x.com/leedforster/status/1698395009525981437?s=46&t=VdH0aGHsHSF2_7GgShF1MQ

He goes to see North Shields Athletic now. He goes into the 3 sails often, and even does talk in events for them.
-
They said in the documentary that it was worth £200m and it’s over 5 years. I have to say, I do like the new Adidas logo.

Nah, looked off as soon as the freeze frame came up, even before the lines were added.
-
Fucking hell Neville, as soon as the freeze frame came up you could easily see that he was offside, why try and claim differently?
-
They have never had any ambition. They used to knock back promotion when they earned it in the past. The rules changed a few years ago where you can’t turn down promotion. North Shields got promoted and had to accept it. However their ground was not up to standard and they never bothered to upgrade it to the standards for the league they went into. They eventually got the funding, but got relegated for not having the ground up to standard. They had the money for the upgrades, even in the event of relegation, and still haven’t upgraded the stadium. You can’t even buy a drink or some snacks from the food kiosk on card. On top of this, the chairman keeps on hitting out at locals who go to NUFC games, and sometimes even Whitley Bay.
-
If this is real (our rivals have these suspicious ‘in peace’ threads at the end of all their games), then fair play. Anyone going to a game to cause bother is a weapon and childish. I think you’ll find that most fans, not just from our club are a fan of how Brighton have developed. Yesterday we weren’t at the races, hopefully we’ll return the beating next time.
-
Aye, might as well as fold the club to be honest. You look at teams like Whitley Bay, and they would absolutely jump at the chance to get promoted. I remember a few years ago the chairman having a go at people going to watch Newcastle instead of them. Give them a reason to turn up.
-
Brighton players fouling ours and Brighton getting the freekick man. No one pulls the referee’s up for this shit though. They keep banging on about respect yet don’t have respect for themselves, yet are quick to fucking cry about respect when they get things wrong and people notice. Absolute fucking scumbags, all of them. They should all be sacked. You’re a liar if you say there is no one at grassroots level who can’t do a better job.

I’m fucking sick of his dead ball set pieces. I’m also fed up with the short corner routine. It only works when the defending team doesn’t know it’s coming, we have done them for 18 months or more, they don’t work. Too many times the ball doesn’t even end up in the box. Today they were cut out straight away. Change it up man. We have one of the tallest squads in the league, we should be beating teams in the air, yet we don’t.
