the people next to me left at 3-0, then magically reappeared at 4-3. got to admit, they really annoy me, seem more interested in having a chat, their phone or checking their bets than the match. never understood why you'd spend so much time and money going to the match, then not seem bothered. got to admit though, for the first time i can remember i missed some football out of choice, went to the toilet about 35 mins in... i felt bad enough about doing that at the time, could never imagine leaving early without a good reason.

even odder that the ref went to talk to the linesman and they still got it wrong.

if we stay up i'll be renewing. if we go down, i don't see it being worth it, i wont be able to make mid-week games like last season so it'll just be a waste of money and better for me to buy single tickets for weekend matches, although i might be a bit selective about how many i go to . will be sad to give up my season ticket after 10 years.

What's your worst ever footballing experience?
maybe_next_year replied to oldtype's topic in Football
man u FA cup semi-final, my first game not at SJP. the way our players put in about the same effort as the man u fans, easily the most gutting match i've been to, but at the same time, probably the moment i realised that i would watch this club whatever happens. -
only way to improve their attendance figures too.

nerves starting to kick in now. still feel like the pressure is all on them. cant see it being worse than a 2-0 defeat, even then i can see Bruce wiping any credibility the mackems' team make for themselves with his obsession with 'revenge' and his fixation with the songs played. -

it's all a little too optimistic for my liking... -
aye, not forgetting his own goal against arsenal that hit off the back of his own head.

said yes having bought my train tickets for the liverpool match the day Chris was sacked, but if we were relegated the extra money i'd have to spend on train tickets for the extra matches and more midweek fixtures might just be too much for me to be able to renew my season ticket.

that 2-1 defeat where Shearer had a penalty saved, pretty sure it was my 1st season as a season ticket holder. i left early, 1 of only 2 games i've left early ( the other being an fa youth cup quarter final), as annoyed at myself as the fact we lost that day

Man u, Sunderland, Wigan in that order

what a guy. cant believe he even had the effort to put his hand up to the fans after suffering that.

very true, despite being in Leazes L7 i still feel very young when i go, despite being 19, which seems odd given that the Leazes is often seen as 'full of kids' by people who dont go there.
