Why do you need confirmation on this, it's simple mathematics? i dont know how many points they have... but i just assumed they can't be that far ahead of us. Too sad that we live in a time without the bbc, skysports or premierleague website available within a few clicks. i had this tab open, and i'm a lazy dick -

Careful lad, posts like this won't go down well on here. Wes Brown would also comfortably walk into your team. As good as Brown has been for Sunderland, Taylor has been good for us. No way in hell he would walk in to our team just now. Brown is also older and more injury prone. Another myth peddled by Newcastle fans. On the subject of injury prone players, Taylor has missed virtually the last 2 seasons because of injuries has he not? he's missed a lot, but because of injuries like a broken jaw and a dislocated shoulder, hardly anything to do with him really.

Krul, Santon, Coloccini, Taylor, Marveaux, Cabaye, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Best and Ba would comfortably walk into your team. no one walks around sunderland comfortably

i think the fact that the huge gaps are in the more expensive seats would suggest that maybe it is partially to do with the cash. but if you look, it was only when we were relegated that our crowds fell and have never recovered, i think a lot of fans gave up that year for footballing reasons, not to save the money.
