  1. nerves starting to kick in now. still feel like the pressure is all on them. cant see it being worse than a 2-0 defeat, even then i can see Bruce wiping any credibility the mackems' team make for themselves with his obsession with 'revenge' and his fixation with the songs played.
  2. aye, not forgetting his own goal against arsenal that hit off the back of his own head.
  3. said yes having bought my train tickets for the liverpool match the day Chris was sacked, but if we were relegated the extra money i'd have to spend on train tickets for the extra matches and more midweek fixtures might just be too much for me to be able to renew my season ticket.
  4. quite looking forward to seeing how tiote copes with some serious competition.
  5. this has to be the cheesiest/worst ( excluding the actual football) motd ever
  6. i have a confession... i laughed at my mate before the match when he suggested we'd score 4. it has never felt so good to be wrong.
  7. that 2-1 defeat where Shearer had a penalty saved, pretty sure it was my 1st season as a season ticket holder. i left early, 1 of only 2 games i've left early ( the other being an fa youth cup quarter final), as annoyed at myself as the fact we lost that day
  8. what a guy. cant believe he even had the effort to put his hand up to the fans after suffering that.
  9. very true, despite being in Leazes L7 i still feel very young when i go, despite being 19, which seems odd given that the Leazes is often seen as 'full of kids' by people who dont go there.
  10. good news for me, makes getting back home a lot easier, should be able to get a direct train, Stoke was a nightmare, had to spend 20 mins in Doncaster, Doncaster ffs!
  11. dont know if it's been posted before, but an article on .co.uk says Xisco recently became a father, wonder if that will put an end to the rumours....
  12. yes he makes a tit of himself now and again, but hes a decent footballer. and you cant fault his loyalty to the club really.
  13. Other differences are the standard of football, a couple of cups and Champion's League qualification, all of which always helps with the turnover... mentioning the wage/turnover ratio, pretty sure Villa have big debts, so the more you look at their situation, the more the board are in the right really.
  14. that trophy man. i know they are far from top quality opposition anymore, but 0-0 in normal play is still good imo, even if it is just a friendly.
  15. i didn't notice that untill you pointed it out
  16. A legend for our club and a true gent, always had the city and its health at heart, will always be missed. RIP SBR
  17. saw someone with the blue one on today with 'Carroll 24' on the back. he must be gutted (assuming he got it before Carroll got the no. 9)
  18. i read that having received offers from german concrete, made me far too much.
