Well keep repeating it. In every thread. Ruin any actual conversation. That'll help. But you suggested people shouldn't comment on stuff they don't know about. One thing people do know about is how shit NUFC are and how shit Alan Pardew is so it's what they comment on. Can't have it both ways fella. I believe we've already got a thread for that.
-
If you're one of the people that thinks it doesn't matter who we sign, we could sign Messi, and Pardew would still make him shit, then what do you possibly have to add to the conversation? Every single signing you're going to chime in and say the same shite. It's boring. If you want to give us a few reasons why this lad has a bright future here we'd be all ears. Otherwise you're just moaning about people moaning and it's very Inochi. I know nothing about the lad. I keep hoping to learn something every time I see the thread bumped, but as usual this thread has been hijacked by the manic depressives.

Don't know what he's like while coaching, he may be really talented at aspects of it, but he doesn't come across very well from the stuff I've seen and a professional team needs more than just one bloke (of questionable intelligence, at that) in order to function well.

Only no one is asking you to be happy with anything, just maybe stop banging on about it in every thread. It's more like talking to a colleague about a project you're working on together only to have him constantly turn it to how much he hates his boss. Yeah, we get it, can we get back to actually doing our jobs now?

I think the point he's making is that all anyone does is fucking whinge and it's tedious. It would be nice to have any kind of discussion without someone having a Pardew-induced nervous breakdown.

Have to disagree there, we would have seen a lot more of the like of Bigi and Sammy and a lot less of Gosling and Shola if we gave youth a bit more of a chance. Arguably. But he seems perfectly comfortable playing Dummett. I think it's more that he isn't convinced some of the other kids are good enough. He has criticized them publicly before. Dummett is only 4 months younger than Santon and 9 months older than Haidara. He's not exactly gambled on the youngster Him not being convinced by the youth is the problem. He has shown time and time again he'll rather go with the "safe" option which is why players like Gosling and Shola were getting games. . Dummett is still only 22 and of limited experience. I still fully expect you're right with him seeing Shola and Gosling as safer options but the question needs to be asked, why is that?

None of the top clubs, including those with solid youth development, have the first team coach heavily involved with the youth team. Wenger takes a particular interest but he's an oddity. And generally speaking we're talking about 17 and 18 year olds even with Wenger. The first team coach has a very specific job to do and that's get the team prepared for Saturday. The youth team coaches need to be advocates for their players if they think they're good enough. That's not to say the left hand and right hand don't know what the other is doing. Southampton, who get a lot of praise, have implemented a club philosophy that filters down from the Director of Football to the Director of Coaching and then the coaches at every level of the club. There's a coherent culture that gets reinforced at all levels. But it's not the job of the first team coaches specifically to propagate that. It's the club infrastructure. That's what we lack. Pardew isn't a youth team coach and I don't want him to become one. He needs to take the players that are ready and integrate them into the first team. If they aren't good enough then that needs to be addressed but it's bugger all to do with the first team.

Yeah it's mad that people discuss football on an NUFC forum IMO It's mad that people have such strong opinions on subjects about which they know nothing. or maybe you know, they do Do they shite.

I love how the topic of discussion is irrelevant, could be youth development, or media relations, or the going rate for advertising hoardings, or sponsorship deals, everyone on here becomes a fucking expert. Yes, our youth development record is patchy, but the youth team has fuck all to do with Pardew or the first team. In fact, first team opportunities for the kids is something we as a club are pretty generous with.

Such a waste. Had to check on a map... it doesn't look like it's far out of Detroit. Looks like it's kind of in the suburbs of Detroit. Regardless, tearing the fucking thing apart. There are any number of sports clubs that could have used it. How much could the maintenance costs have been, ffs?
-
Someone needs to buy that, fix it up, and get a soccer team playing there. Even if it's 3/4 empty most weeks. Just needs some love.

Wasn't there a cricket team that played there too? Did they fuck off as well?

2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America
LucaAltieri replied to LucaAltieri's topic in Football
Think he's their most capped midfielder. Scores goals, too. It'll be a real shame if Chile go out because of injuries. They're one of the teams I'm looking forward to watching. -
Seems wasteful. Surely there's something we could be doing with them? Grass roots teams up and down the country are getting priced off of the land they use. How much can it really cost to keep the grass mowed?
-
Yeah, you have only a ~5000 capacity this season. So an average attendance of 4,791 isn't too bad.
-
They've only had 3 matches. Still great to see, but let's see what happens over the course of 2 or 3 seasons. Of course it's early days yet but look at their stats compared to OKC Energy who are also new.

http://www.kenn.com/the_blog/?p=5919 Sacramento Republic in USL Pro (3rd division) are the 10th best supported team in the United States. Great choice of market () starting a team there. Their lowest attendance this season is still bigger than the highest attendance of: Chicago, New England, Colorado, DC United, San Jose, Chivas USA

I'm guessing not since the official FIFA fantasy football won't let you do anything until June 8th. -

Has anyone setup a world cup fantasy football league yet? -
Worth a punt. Let's see if he can step up.
