What happened to Morgan Whittaker? Looked canny for two seasons but I haven't seen him this season. Stats suggest he's gone off the boil a little. I still hate the fact that Crystal Palace signed both Eze and Olise from the Championship for relatively little.

I like the Britishness of our signings, it raises our profile having a few home internationals in our first team and further down the line I'm positive we'll see Lewis Hall in there too. I wouldn't like us to be one of those clubs that churns through average foreign players every year, regardless of how good some of them would be, it would feel a little soulless. Having said that, we do miss out on a few players that end up at clubs that are perceived lesser than us that would strengthen our squad. This is where I think Mitchell will end up showing his worth, striking a balance between what Eddie Howe wants and what the majority of the rest of us want. It's nowt new though, we've seen some class players sign for some woeful clubs over the years whilst we've soldiered on with the likes of a 45 year old Lee Clark in the middle or a one-legged Michael Bridges on the right wing.

Barnes at Brentford could be lethal. I'd take Lewis Potter as part of the deal though.

Wonder when we'll see the first tattoos.

That's how loads of us say it

They had the likes of Tim Irregular, Cameron Archer (who they sold twice), Aaron Ramsey & Chukwumeka from the academy who they all sold for decent sums across multiple windows. Don't forget the Grealish sale on top of that. We've sold one player for a decent profit in the last few years. It's clear how key a good academy is these days, but you can't really build it overnight. Said it a few times now, but it's great seeing us bolster the academy with supposedly decent players like Harrison, Sanusi, Hernes & Shahar. We can't really lose as long as we play our cards right. Meanwhile we stood still this summer, losing a good prospect and bringing in a decent free on top of a young talent who could go either way (not that I want us to but if we sold him now there is no way we'd get our money back)

There's no guarantee Emery would have done here what he's done at Villa. I'm happy with how it's all panned out from an NUFC perspective.

Creepy indeed, Peter.

I'm 37 and I've genuinely resigned myself to never seeing us win anything of note We could play Rotherham in the League Cup final and we'd somehow manage to fuck it up.

Ruined it by mentioning a trophy

He never had one "stormer" for us.

Just me who doesn't give one shite about the Ballon d'Or?

My thoughts exactly.

I'm not so sure anyone is pretending anything tbh. Everyone knows who MBS and Saudi Arabia are and what they stand for.

Wouldn't be the end of the world

I reckon we get our overhaul / shot in the arm or whatever you want to call it in the summer at the cost of one or two purples. I'd be surprised if we qualify for Europe based on the start of the season and even more surprised if we don't and manage to hold onto all of our better players. Don't worry, I'm often wrong.

4.35 on the first clip for the most bullshit goal of the day -
There's no complaint from the Wolves players immediately after the goal fwiw

Would have been scandalous if that was disallowed. However, it reminds me of that Tiote screamer that was disallowed at SJP against... Man City.

Glad that was given.
