Yeah, couldn't hear yourself think at times. I do think the demographics of the average fan was vastly different though. You had blokes coming off the back of the 80's, radge fighting and complete neglect from those in charge of the club to all of a sudden we've got one of the best young managers in the game with Andy Cole, Peter Beardsley etc running rings around John Smith from Swindon in the Premier League. Great times. It's no surprise everyone was pumped most games.

Nah, I'm with you. Moving is a massive gamble with very few guarantees (from our perspective). I am of the opinion that there's two sides to every argument though, there must be a reason why they don't implement these things, they're not a bunch of Mike Ashley's openly laughing at us. Disappointing if when we do move they don't try and implement some fan suggestions but as long as they attempt to explain some of the more sensible ideas then that'll do. Radio silence and they're just leaving themselves open to criticism. It does feel like a bit of a tap-in though, just picking one or two big hitters and saying "hey, look, we listened!"

Yeah, I'm convinced they already know what they're after and that our 'wants' are quite far down their list of priorities, if on the list at all. However, they're not daft and they'll not want to alienate us. It's going to be interesting to be honest, I am desperate for some sort of blueprint, mock up or whatever before I'm all in either way.

Oh and the queues outside the ground.... If anyone wants to get in the ground with 10 minutes to go then they should be able to without missing the first few minutes of the game. The queues at the top of the steps opposite the Strawberry are a piss take at times.

As a current season ticket holder in the middle of the Gallowgate, formerly in the middle of the East Stand for a season and the Gallowgate West corner for Rafa's 3 seasons (ooh, look at me) I can safely say the atmosphere over the last 20 years has largely been a bit of a let down more often than it has been bouncing. It's generally just about north of average imo, but to claim it's one extreme or the other to the point where that forms the basis of your argument for either moving or staying is just daft imo. With regards the stadium move, I just want the option of grabbing a drink, something to eat or going for a piss without having to time it perfectly before I'm queuing for 45 minutes or rubbing shoulders with the folk who sniff shite in the cubicles. A stadium move would also allow us to regroup and create a proper section for those that don't want to sit and tut for 90 minutes.

So.... twice a season?

Hope he's better than the last Algerian to play for us Looks decent on YouTube, good acceleration and a bit trickery, Isak replacement perhaps

Isn't their argument that the city limits were extended to include the airport back in day, which is the most heinous of all crimes and they're rightly fewmin about it.

Martin O'Neill schooled him on TalkShite the other day, it was a joy to watch.

A Troylem, if you will

Man City have failed to win the league once since 17/18, but let's worry about Newcastle potentially doing a Portsmouth. Why are more people not going nuclear over this?
-
65k isn't big enough. Imagine we do start regularly qualifying the CL, we'd be able to shift 80k tickets. One thing that does worry me is an extra 20 or 30 thousand people in the city centre. The public transport infrastructure is nowhere near robust enough.

People used to say "Who's nicked your number?" constantly to me. Still don't really get it over 25 years later.

Yeah, an insight into my mind right there, I choose to remember Andreas Andersson & Des Hamiton before us beating Barca or reaching multiple cup finals.
-
In my mind it's the Andreas Andersson shirt

His return could be the biggest thing to happen this season. I'm not a big fan of Lloyd Kelly (early days, I know) and I reckon the step up from him or BDB to Botman is massive.

Paul Mitchell to leave club by mutual consent at end of June (Official)
Dr.Spaceman replied to 54's topic in Football
The trap people fall into with the likes of Mitchell (as they did with Ashworth) is solely laying the blame for any amount of failure at their doorstep. Mitchell is the head of a team working with other teams to achieve common targets. Yes he's accountable, but he's not the sole reason we may not sign anyone or may sign someone who turns out to be a bit shit. It's like people blaming Shola because Kuol went to Hearts or wherever it was, as if the club let Shola Ameobi make that decision on his own As with Ashworth I think we're putting far too much thought into all of this. -

Eh? -
Well that's a relief. For a second there I thought we may have been paying our Chief Execs and various managing directors for absolutely nothing when we could just put everything to a vote in front of pissed up radgies in-between Sweet Caroline and Seven Nation Army

Everton are absolutely bollocks and Brentford aren't, I'm not surprised.
-
Get back to me when he hits 20 goals in a season. Brentford are a much better side than Everton have been since the mid 00's and he regularly finishes the season in single figures.
-
DCL would be crucified here, he needs to go to a Brentford level club who'll be grateful for having a big name signing.

Newcastle United vs. West Ham United: 25/11/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Two really tough games but if you lose them both you're sacked. That's harsh. -
Yeah, although all he did was turn down a role, he hasn't actually done anything wrong
