When a foul is given and the commentator/pundit says "there was definite contact there".
It's a contact sport. Contact alone isn't enough to be a foul.
Erm. Isn't it the other way around? I always hear that term or 'camera save' when the keeper has tucked their legs up and fail to land on their feet, when they clearly could have done. Or they parry a shot, that they could easily catch.
A concerted push for a top 8 spot and a damn good go at the cups.
Probably 4 or 5 signings away from a squad that should be challenging for a top 6 spot (LB, CB, CM, Striker, RB cover...).
I couldn't care less if we pay over the odds by a couple of million. We're getting tens of millions a year more from TV etc that it's not really an issue. If it's true that there's some potential deep down in this nutter that he could be a star, then get him in and let's enjoy him for the time before it goes tits up or he gets flogged.
Still maintain we have no idea how far down Carr's list the powers that be actually go.
Who's to say that some of these failures weren't 10th choice because the club wouldn't fund the nine higher-rated ones?
I'd say it's a pretty big issue as it will set the tone for the style of play we expect to use this season.
I'll be delighted if we go with Anita and Wijnaldum in the centre but I fear we won't.
When have you ever seen a successful diamond formation in the premiership?
It's the stuff of fantasy. We've struggled to get a 433/451 system to work. The only real success we have ever had is with 442.
I saw it with a midfield which included Michael Owen, Nicky Butt, Geremi and Joey Barton.
