Eurostar have just started direct services to Lyon apparently....

Refused to talk about injuries. And correctly so. Most teams in the league would win a fair few games if they had their first choice side available. Managers go from being decent to very good when they can inspire a depleted side to victory. I like Martinez's management style a lot. Would be very happy if he managed us one day but I think he'll have bigger suitors.

4-0. Demba x 2, Demba x 2. -
From the article: As well as regaining peak physical condition, Marveaux has also had to establish a best position. His polished left-foot and relatively modest stature often sees him wrongly billed as a winger, but he emphasises that he is happiest in a central role. "Yes, that's always been in my head," he affirms. "I've never been someone who's clung to the touchline all the time, looking to cross. I like to really get involved in the game in the centre of the pitch. That was my strength when I was at Rennes and I think it's important to try and play and the same way here. "

Need one for the Teresa Herrera triumph.

The ticket portal for the final opens on Monday. 18,000 tickets on general sale with a mighty 10,000 tickets for each team in the final. So half the stadium goes to corporates etc?

Heaven forbid he actually spends some time trying to improve his passing or crossing.

Highly unlikely HBA will be fit. Don't think we'll see him for a good couple of weeks. Would hate to rush him back for a game we'll probably lose anyway and lose him again for the majority of December. As has been said, respect to those going down. With a mortgage, European trips, Christmas coming up etc, not to mention work commitments etc, I simply couldn't justify the thick end of 100 quid for ticket, travel and beer. I reckon a lot will be in the same situation too. -
Wonder what people would think of Darren Bent became available for, say, 5m. Worth a punt?
-
This. Wouldn't be against playing Perch CB despite his lack of match sharpness, although ideally we'd have Perch with Tiote and a.n.other as part of a midfield 3.
-
Away games coming up include Stoke, Fulham, Man United and Arsenal. If someone offered me 1 point from 12 now it'd be more than i'm expecting.

As if someone felt the need to change Stoke v Nufc to Stoke City v Newcastle United in the thread title. -
Hughton got sacked for winning the Championship, beating Sunderland 5-1 followed by a win at the Emirates.

Floated set penis to Williamson/Taylor at back post

Do we need a 'Floated set piece to Williamson at front post' thread for that? -

It really is the least of our worries. The rest is just us being shit. This is about letting an absolute bell top who Pardew said would never play for him again return to action because we're desperate.
-
Of all the shit things that have happened this season, the possibility of this scrote getting back into our first team's the most shameful of the lot
-
Is about right, but Anita is a symptom of our ludicrous 'buy whoever we can make a profit on' transfer policy, thus he's taking the heat. Leon Best aside, who have bought that we have made a substantial profit on in the past few years?

Big difference in a bad player vs a technically sound player playing in a position/system that doesn't suit 10 out of the 11 players in the team.
