  1. Absolutely gutted with that Chelsea result like. They did fuck all except score a 5 yard offside goal and a last minute goal which the scorer knew nothing about. Cunts.
  2. Ridiculous that Caldwell was that far forward. Cunts.
  3. You can't go through a full season without one or two games like that. No point dwelling on them. It's usually piss poor defeats at home to shit teams like Blackpool and Blackburn. This season it's because we lost at the Emirates. Says it all really.
  4. FWIW I think we'll finish 6th after a narrow defeat at Stamford bridge.
  5. If we're serious about top 4 then we need 10 points from next 4 fixtures. Absolutely insane that it's possible for us. Just hope people don't get disappointed if it doesn't happen, which is the most likely outcome. "it's not beyond our wildest dreams, because we do have wild dreams"
  6. Brighton or Birmingham are ok logistics wise from London, just an hour or so I think. Not sure on tickets though. If you do need boro tickets, give me a shout as I'm registered on their database so I can get them easily.
  7. I think if Middlesbrough finish 5th or 6th they'll be at home first. It's only an hour on the train (£15 return from Newcastle) and you could probably get 10,000 tickets if you needed them.
  8. Isn't 'fatal' spelled wrong there (unless there's a plot line I've missed)
  9. If an English team wins the Europa League. If they've already got European qualification through domestic competition, then they just go into the group stages and no extra place is given. However, if they haven't qualified through domestic competition they effectively get given a 4th Europa League spot. Assuming it's stolen from some Lithuanian team or something. That's absolutely nowt to do with what I asked them though, and it's irrelevant because there's no English team left in the competition!
  10. Not even sure what they're on about in the second paragraph.
  11. Dear Premier League, I am emailing to ask how Newcastle United can qualify for the Europa League. I am sure of the following: If a) NUFC finish 5th b) NUFC finish 6th or 7th and the FA Cup final is Liverpool v Chelsea/Spurs (assuming theyre in europe already). But, if Chelsea win the FA cup and finish 5th, they qualify via the FA Cup and the league. Now I know the spot usually goes to the FA Cup runners up (if Everton or sunderland), but in this case, would it go to the league spot? I'm basing this on the fact that the FA Cup spot goes into the competition proper, whereas the league spot goes into the qualifier. Is it therefore correct to assume the FA Cup spot essentially 'pulls rank' on the league spot, with Chelsea then taking the cup spot and the league spot going down a place? Many thanks. The reply: Thanks for your email. It is our understanding from the guidelines set by UEFA that in the event the FA Cup winners are qualified for the european competition, the FA Cup runners up will qualify, but in the place reserved for the lowest ranking PL representative. The place with direct access to the group stage will be given to the club that finishes in the highest position in the PL of the clubs qualifying for the UEFA Europa League. English winners of the UEL will enter at the Group stage, gaining an extra domestic place only if they fail to qualify through other means for UCL or UEL. If the holders of the UEL have already qualified for Europe, no extra domestic place will be gained. Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League. We recommend that you contact UEFA for clarification. Kind regards, Supporter Services The FA Premier League
  12. Cheers - there's 5 3pm kick offs that day and the 4 others aren't massive games, so fingers crossed!
  13. Cheers VI and Neesy, it's not on sky or espn - do they show it on snidey channels or do all PL games get shown? It's a Saturday 3pm game.
  14. Anyone know any bars in Barcelona that will be showing NUFC vs Stoke?
  15. Assuming Perch is out, If Guthrie is fit I'd play Tiote CB and a midfield three of Guthrie Cabaye and Jonas then, with Raylor in at LB.

  18. I guess it'll depend on if we have a European qualifier or not. I've heard Australia mentioned as a possible destination.
