The reason he's improved defensively is the cover he gets from Jonas. If he played at RB behind Obertan he'd be far too exposed. Plus it's easier for him to take a shot from left back and cutting in than it is from right back.

Don't see why we seem too scared of next three games btw. Fair do's citeh are class but Man U aren't the team they used to be and Chelsea have been poor this season and we often do ok against them up here. Bring them on. Worst comes to worst we'll be 6th or 7th come Norwich.

If we lose our next three games, we'll probably still be in the top 6 (just), and we'll have played 9 of last seasons top 10 in our opening 14 games. But we'll still have played no one.

Well considering they hardly play these days if there's a snowflake about, I would suggest the ball colour change is more to get the kids all excited for their new yellow Christmas football. Didn't Blackburn miss two? Should be looking to beat these, although a draw wouldn't be a disaster. Still see these as the biggest competition for 7th and a (hopeful) European spot. Would be massively disappointed if they took our unbeaten record.
