Ashley to keep club, put £20m in and consider stadium naming rights
bowlingcrofty replied to Ashley17's topic in Football
Yep. I was expecting the Hughton thing and hoping against the club coming off the market but the stadium rights thing is just a fucking disgrace. It seems deliberately antagonistic to me. I agree. If he was planning on doing it, he wouldn't announce it to the world before anyone had even made a bid to do so? I'm sure he's on one huge wind-up mission. -

I suggest we make it quite clear that whoever's going to buy the rights is going to endure constant banners and chants about how utterly fucking shit their company, products, staff and services are. Hopefully he's just as shit at sealing this deal as he has been with the sale, although for some reason I don't think that's the case. Agreed. -

People will be out to kill him if he fucks around with the name of SJP. No exaggeration. That is the fucking final straw that. -
Another stunning performance from our goal-and-assist machine yesterday. I'd love to throttle the barstard a la Khizanishvili

Thought I'd bump this and see what people's opinions are now. The man is a fuckin joke, btw.

Is boycotting ultimately the only way to force Ashley out eventually?
bowlingcrofty replied to a topic in Football
More negative press, extra pressure on players, more "fuck you" attitudes from Ashley, in-fighting between those who want to boycott and those who don't, horrible atmosphere in the ground afterwards? I understand the idea but think it's ultimately going to end up more harmful. -

The problem with this is that it will have a far more negative impact than a crap manager and chairman ever could. -
Did Hughton seriously say this post-game...? "The game plan was to come here and do well" There aren't enough facepalms in the world to express my feelings on this one.

That's not a bad selection man. The two biggest duckeggs from the previous game are out, we have reinforced the midfield and Nolan/Jonas will be pushing up with Carroll. Give it a chance ffs -
Which is the only club in England and Scotland with the letter J in it?

You can judge Harewood on what he was like 3/4 years ago, I'll judge him on what he's like now. Rubbish. I'll do the same for Shola - on the evidence of what we've seen of him for NUFC this season, he'll be more dangerous than Harewood and Ranger. I don't think I'm being too outrageous in suggesting so? -

We don't miss Shola, he is immobile, weak for his size, zero ball control, no intelligence and cant even strike the ball cleanly. I would rather start Harewood and Nile over him, despite Nile's lack of goals atm. You crazy, crazy f***er. Harewood is horseshit personified and Nile, though he has potential, has barely looked like scoring in any of the games he's played so far. Shola is toss but at least he's scored some goals. Nile's all round game is a lot better than anything i have seen Shola do, bringing players into play, running with the ball, linking up with other players. Plus he is getting more and more of a goal threat in recent matches. Harewood will score goals this year. I honestly think Shola at this level will do way more than Marlon 'Amble-about-then-fuck-it-up' Harewood and Nile, who is very young and extremely raw. More goals than those two put together in four games would tend to agree with me. -

Yup, this will be a Blackpool-esque defeat to a team playing in their Cup Final and out-fighting us.
