  1. how many english has he signed at blackburn out of idle curiosity he didnt sign many while he was with us thats for sure (smith and barton are all i can think of off the top of my head)
  2. that and he must be on a fairly high wage which i dont think atletico can afford now god damn it that would be a good signing
  3. dear god those spuds fans are mad if they think thats accurate, hutton theyd be lucky to fetch 2m for him now king 5m with his knees? keane 7m maybe if they're lucky bently 5m on a good day 1m on a bad huddlestone (and i like him) 6-7m
  4. i think someone might be mad enough to take a punt on butt "for his experience" Not a chance. strange things can happen in jan, hull might get desperate or whoever takes over at bolton with their limited funds and may view him as a bargain (thinking of the butt of manchester united rather than the one of now) but probably wishful thinking on my part

i'll be honest I'd forgotten its called that, no one anywhere not even in the media calls it that.
  7. id say all of our players out deals in the last 18 months are staggered ones so i don't think player sales covered the loss due to ashley having to put in 20m to cover running costs and cost cutting measures in place. Remember the wage bill may be well down but its still huge by championship standards I agree mostly, though we have to remember that our revenue is also still huge by championship standards. it is but i highly doubt at the moment the club is breaking even never mind profit. If we get up then the finances will look reasonably good but while we're down here in the championship they will look grim

  9. Yeah, because if it happens it's obviously because he WANTS to lose his best striker. Nothing to do with us having literally no money to spend and tons of debt. and saha out of contract at the end of the season so they're sniffing for a bargain as they have no money either
  10. ashley wanting to make sure he gets his mits on the prem tv money and increased money from sponsorship deals (which are in negioations over and he will get more money for a prem team than a fizzy pop one) anyhow in beckford (wrongly imo) killa out geremi (i wish)
  11. can't see it being shearer as gartside will want someone with experience which probably means monkey head
  12. By a small capacity sugar daddy? burnley are the example for all small capacity clubs they're players are paid pittance (by prem football standards not real life standards) but the club is in no danger of going under any time soon unlike portsmouth
  13. No signings yet, fucking typical of Ashley. disgraceful we should have 5 in by now
  14. clubs can be self sustaining, arsenal don't have some big investor pumping millions in to keep them competitive after all, spurs (much as i hate to admit it) are fairly well run (though with arry around for how long) and the before mentioned barcelona, hell man u would be fine too if not for the glazer takeover which lumped 600m on their debt sheet but they are unusual. The problem with pompey is they way overspent on wages (80k a week on utaka according to some media). Meanwhile the lens chairman has called for pompey to be shut down over unpaid money
  15. well it is possible that a medical could be done tonight and paperwork put through tomorrow and have him available for the cup on sat, but it doesnt seem likely. that said someone here has said beckfords put in a transfer request http://www.waccoe.com/index.php?showtopic=169672&st=0
  16. Didn't they say that the last time too? And the time before that? and does anyone take their excuses seriously? When are the premier league going to say enough is enough and ask where the hell all the transfer money they raised has gone and how can anyside thats getting 30m a season in tv cash not be able to pay their players wages especially since the bill has dropped considerably in last 12 months.
  17. not to mention the notts county fiasco. these guys make ashley seem competent
  18. Signed for Burnley, not sure if its a loan or permanent, though. loan, though they want to make it permanent in jan
  19. cant see parker going to stoke myself, i think there would be bigger clubs interested I can see villa coming in for him if they can find a buyer for Reo Coker. As for jones maybe definate chance of that but who would the mackems get to replace him
  20. Unless they haven't been filing them. Then they cant dispute them, if it was the case then the club wouldnt have a leg to stand on judging from the last few months i think its mere desperation from the pompey board to avoid admin, taxmen are fussy about how much their owed
  21. JFK butchring zogs name last jan or his 1st press conference
