joy not only is there the summer long sterling saga but now all summer reports of de gea sulking and moaning about not being allowed to go, blatter will probably come out with the slave shit he did with ronaldo too.
-
its hardly a surprise given the FAI utterly ignores anything that isn't the senior team because they desperately need the cash due to the bill for the aviva. We can't keep depending on English clubs to develop our players for us they need to invest in getting the irish clubs developing players

looks offside tbh

I'm sure we'll just whip out the checkbook. you know honestly if we get Austin unless Cisse goes I wouldn't bother and use the cash on the defense
-
not sure of the exact numbers we have on the homegrown front but we may need a few just to fill the quota.
-
Aye, he'd cost far more than we're willing to spend. Would be a great signing though. iirc he has the same agent as Sterling and he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy what would work well with the clubs wage policy even if we agreed a fee

Berahino seems unlikely to me

Yeah that's great and all that, but £50m? I think £50m is too much for Sterling personally but I don't think its that mental. I think £35m or something is reasonable. There'll always be comparisons to make it look stupid but there's also the likes of Carroll and Torres etc. which make it look fine. 50m is probably too much but he's a talented young english player which will always have a premium and city need english players for the squad fairly badly and finding ones that are good enough for their squad isn't exactly easy or cheap.

Oliver Kay @OliverKayTimes · 33m 33 minutes ago Oliver Kay retweeted Oliver Kay I'm told #LFC value Sterling at £50m+. Not sure their contract offer reflects that, but that's another story ...

Carr basically is the director of football
-
right after he triggers the 5 year extension in the deal
-
god only knows how this turn out.
-
has any manager/head coach/whatever been a board member? Suppose Wengers all but one
-
3 years with an option of another 5. Also said by charnley targeting top 8 and trying to win a cup
-
My general view on things. This is true but the downside is that the media is the conduit to the fans. and they only give a shit when they're offended personally so fuck em.
-
I must admit I do find it amusing when journos get offended like this
-
I disagree, ultimately each club employs a manager and supposedly trusts their opinion and knowledge of football, so back that trust by letting him have the final say on the players he will be working with day in day out. If you don't trust the managers opinions on football to that extent why the fuck are you employing him then.

Blatantly holding out for compo from Crystal Palace. could have done the same thing with Stone then, Carver going makes sense but to sack stone but keep woodman doesn't make sense to me anyway.
-
bit odd they're sacking Carver and Stone but not Woodman mind.
-
Carver going makes sense, he spent most of the last 6 months dissing the players in the media and while I didn't disagree with him you still don't do that. Its for the best to have a clean break and the manager to be able to bring in his own and at least a promising omen of the board backing him
-
Hmmm ... I think Allardyce's horrid football completely wasted Ener Valencia. Also have Sakho who looked decent too. Big Andy is injury prone though, so that's an issue. could honestly see them trying to offload Carroll
-
especially with them going into the olympic stadium after this coming season
