Robson got him most of those. He is the sole reason for our success under him. Dalgleish's was lucky with inheriting a great team before royally fucking it up. Bobby was backed very well with transfer funds with the exception of one summer. We showed a lot of ambition back then. yes clearly so well backed in the Bowyer summer where our total spend was 0. Very ambitious.

I dunno man, I have some great memories from when Shepherd was at the helm. because of the good work of KK and SBR not f***ing Shepherd, they succeeded in spite of him not in any way because of him. Every other appointment? Bottom half (exceptions in Dalglish half season with KK's team and Roeder's caretaker run which is just inexpiable) followed by swift sacking which cost the club millions due to his moronic judgement on someones ability to begin with. Exactly. Shepherd took over when? Late 96, early 97? He couldnt keep Keegan there, he made a terrible managerial appointment, he fucked up with the Ferdinand sale and Shearer's injury, he fucked up another appointment, he saw some awful players come in for big fees, he was then gifted Robson who carried the club on his 60 odd year old shoulders until even he couldn't do it any more. He then fucked up more appointments and even bigger horrific transfers until he sold us to a dirty cockney charva. and lets not forget the fake sheikh business, how the fuck the scumbag wormed his way back into running the club after that I'll never know.

linked only in his own delusions. I highly doubt he has anywhere near the cash required to get the club off Ashley on his own and the prospect of a leveraged takeover- ala glazers at man utd- from him (the only possible scenario I can see him getting it on his own) is terrifying. Maybe he'll find a few billionaires to buy the club with him as the public face of it (which would say a lot about their judgement on anything) but if that was going to happen it probably would have before now.

the debt was certainly big and the finances were fairly diabolical, spending the same level as a champions league side on wages when we were hilariously far away from even dreaming of competing for a CL place. And yes he and the rest of them did siphon shit loads of cash directly from the club into their back pockets. Fuck Freddie Shephard.

not a clue who they are
-
really don't want Bayern to go through tbh
-
at least its kept interesting now. Kinda hoping man utd go through, more potential for entertainment than Bayern who really are not very fun to watch at all
-
which had nothing to do with him and everything to do with the individual brilliance of KK and SBR. While they were doing good work he was busy creaming as much cash out of the club as possible.
-
how about neither, both are and were poisonous influences on the club and I'd rather neither darkened SJP again.

Every manager working at the top end of Europe's top leagues is a strong personality. To a point. And some will use it to get performances out of their players, ie. Mourinho, SBR, SAF, etc. And others will alienate them ie. AVB, O'Neil, Souness, Dalglish, etc. Mourinho's players love him just as much as SBRs. The man is doing something right. Real Madrid's players absolutely hated his guts didn't they? most of them

which should if UEFA had any balls get him some kind of punishment since he left the technical area to do it, I won't hold my breath
-
better than Pep? Not a hope in hell Easily. Had this one won before a ball had been kicked. If he had it won before it kicked off, why did he have to resort to long balls and putting on three strikers to win it? this. It wasn't some "majestic tactical masterclass" it was fucking desperation and the same kind of thing any manager would bloody do in the same situation and hope it works. Hell Steve McClaren pulled the same trick getting Boro to the UEFA cup final

I'd blame Blanc for that, 1 goal would have won the tie for PSG
-
Doesn't bring other players into play enough for that system. Interesting to see which incredibly rich and obscure side he signs for in the summer. while Torres clearly is such a better option...................

shocking Ba hasn't had more of a look in at chelsea considering the competition or lack thereof
-
Wasn't that our attempt at a fuck you we won't let you charge £20 for away fans jobbies? think so, something about charging their away fans what ours pay?
-
mirror pulled the same thing too but at least had the common sense to put the headline in the space where chris ramsey was supposed to be to hide said manipulation
-
fucking hell.

I actually managed to skim right over that bit. Wonder what the point is. made me curious too, maybe a more hands on approach from now on?

Lunacy. It would be if it wasn't complete bollocks. In a total of 5,874 votes cast during the week-long poll organised by the club, 2,565 voted “Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam family continuing to lead the club”, as opposed to 2,517 for “No to Hull Tigers” – a difference of just 48. A further 792 opted for “I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way”, while 9,159 season ticket holders failed to take up an invite to vote. Hmmm. Would like to see the precise wording of the question. That sounds almightily suspect. very leading question whole thing stinks tbh

The Premier League also have financial fair player regulations which have nothing to do with European competition. He specifically refers to the UEFA rules. UEFA rules are also a fair bit stricter than prem rules so make it look better in theory by saying your well in compliance with them
-
one curiosity to me is Ashley actually going on the board officially, more involved?
-
Lot of standard nonsense in that tbh
