set your aims a little lower to start with.....simon bird? he's not offensively bad either tbh, set your aims to be better than Lee Ryder at first and work from there. Ryder wouldn't have been able to post Ketsbaia's post here. see progress is being made

    Andy Carroll

feel sorry for him, not so much West Ham who are in a bad situation since they put all their eggs striker wise in the Carroll basket
  5. NUFC Stats ‏@NUFC_Stats 29s Rumours that Andy Carroll out for 4 months aster sustaining injury during training today! #ouch #nufc if true then West Ham are in very serious trouble he's their only striker (which shows why buying downing was braindead)
  6. His words are fairly emphatic from what I can see. tend to agree with Tron here and as to his words, everyone in football lies to serve their own purpose, to say otherwise is naive.
  7. my honest opinion barring somehow a fans group getting the near £300m to buy it (calling this scenario unlikely seems an understatement) theres nothing that can be done that will force him out. The main problem as always is finding a buyer of which theres none.
  8. If Alex McLeish can with Birmingham anyone can

    Alan Pardew

he's a decent lower order prem manager, not really had the chance to prove he's better than that
  10. we've signed worse players than Baird
  11. they've been shite for a while now.
  12. Bollocks. Still what did we expect we're just not very good outside of Keane we have no one to score goals and god help us when he retires
  13. kinda ridiculous how dependent we are on Keane to score goals even at this stage in his career
  14. what a glorious game that was, ah good times
  15. Be hell of a pair of results this and the Russia one
  16. fuck, great cross and header by Elmander 1-1
  17. How did Larson miss that?!! Perfectly set up by Zlatan
  18. get in 1-0 Ireland Keane. Cock up of the highest order by the goalkeeper
  19. Yes.. based on the world rankings good to see they're being open about the corruption since no one can make heads or tails of that stupid system and it would be too logical to go off things like how many points gained in a group.
  20. depends, what big nations are in danger of playoffs this time?
  21. Shane Ferguson, Conor Newton, Romain Amalfitano and Mehdi Abeid are all on season long loans. I don't know why Abeid is listed in the squad. the u21 list is unlimited so why the hell not

    Football pet hates

dunno its a welcome change from supporters of clubs like Man Utd or in particular Arsenal in recent years ringing up to moan about oh how bad things are for us "only" being in the champions league year after year, playing beautiful football and the "crime" of not winning a trophy in 8 years

Hatem for us plays on the wing, (I hesitate to call him a winger since he's not really) you don't judge him on goals because his role in the side is to create, Gouffran is supposed to be a striker judging on on goals is a reasonable thing to judge and when he's missing easy chances regardless of position its something to point out and be worried about especially considering we're one broken leg to Cisse from being completely screwed for goals. So does Gouffran, agree with the rest. But we can't really say how good of a striker Gouffran can be when he hardly plays there. what I meant was Hatem was never a striker, not his game, Gouffran came over a striker shoved out to the wing because our squad is ridiculously lacking in anyone there so scoring goals was supposedly his game and if he's missing easy chances I'm going to judge him on it.
