  1. It's not against the rules at all, if the player's team has given him permission to talk to the interested club. and the far more common case of talking to the agent of the player you want and getting a reasonable idea of what he wants or letting him know whats on offer at your club (see Gareth Bale and Real Madrid)
  2. technically against the rules but good luck enforcing it since everybody at all levels does it
  3. Pierre Menes @ PierreMenes 26m @ BafGomis has confirmed that he was indeed well agreed with Newcastle. This is the OL who wants more than 8m original french Pierre Ménès ‏@PierreMenes 28m @BafGomis vient de me confirmer qu'il s'était bien bel et bien mis d'accord avec Newcastle. C'est l'OL qui veut plus que les 8m

    Alan Pardew

If he's got the power to sack Pardew he's proving his incompetence as a DOF with every passing day. do you want JFK as manager? because the moment Pardew is sacked thats whats going to happen
  5. that's assuming we get any at all and he'd have a point
  6. actually it sounds nothing like us, loans aren't normally our thing
  7. if anything we look like the poor innocent party caught in the middle of this unpleasantness

    Alan Pardew

Normally I'd agree, I but wouldn't be too sure this time. Mike Ashley has the power to sack him like he always has done, JFK has no power, he can advise but there's not a chance he can just sack the manager on a whim. Ashley trusts him for some daft reason so have no doubt if JFK says sack him and put me in charge (which he will) it will happen
  9. the problem here is your unhappy with Kinnear but he's the guy in charge of the recruitment policy now and he's made it a lot worse I'm sure he hasn't helped much, but weirdly there's no evidence for what you said there. the fact we've signed no one with the season 3 weeks away when we had one deal all but done before the half wit arrived and said nah haven't heard of him isn't evidence?
  10. the problem here is your unhappy with Kinnear but he's the guy in charge of the recruitment policy now and he's made it a lot worse
  11. no, no its not the clear problem is the senile halfwit who's working above him and will replace him if/when pardew gets sacked and if you think anybody else would take over your deluding yourself
  12. Crazy. cynical as it may seem the more this goes on the more I feel as if the clubs not trying very hard to get anyone in so as to make it more likely Pardew will go on a losing streak early on and JFK takes over asap
  13. George Caulkin ‏@CaulkinTheTimes 3m Kinnear to finally meet Darren Bent's people this week. Needs to get move on - Ffc upped interest today & player can't wait forever. #Nufc
  14. we're far from the worst when it comes to being wankers in the transfer market, see real's drip drip drip to unsettle Bale over a few months and Bara's move for Fabregas over a few years
  15. That's the thing he is which is what makes this rejection strange, he seems set on moving here and he's apparently rejected other moves and in less than 6 months he's perfectly entitled to sign a pre-contract which means they lose him either for nothing or next to nothing if its a move like Gouffran for example and this is all while Lyon actually do need cash and want to get rid of him
  16. What does this mean? They've had a massively better side than you lot for most of the last 20 years, get over it. Sure they have. No one has denied it. they have great domestic record (though poor since 2004)...but they are not a team that can gloat about their European pedigree. Qualifying for a competition is not an achievement, actually winning it (OR at least coming close) is an achievement. Yea, they've been in CL for 15 years in a row. we've probably been in 9 CLs at the same time period (too lazy to check the exact number), yet we've won the whole f***ing thing, and have reached more semi-finals and finals than them. Fact is, they will never come even close to winning the CL under Wenger. He's always been tactically inept in Europe. Jokes aside, I just f***ing hate Arsenal. Probably goes back to 2007 when their fans were singing still calling us "Liverhoof", their fans always gloating how they are the saviours of beautiful football and how every other team in PL except them is boring. And I watch football for football, not for the positive net spend on the balance sheet. Anyways, even if Suarez joins them, he'll jump the ship to Spain at earliest opportunity. Arsenal's "BIG SPENDING, WE HAVE SO MUCH MONEY" summer so far only consists of Yaya Sanogo. They were in the final in 2006 (I think). You don't get much closer than that. One final in 15 years. Pretty poor IMO, considering some of the teams Arsene has had in his disposal during this time period. They've also won the league 3 times and never fallen out of the top 4 in that time, keep cherry-picking achievements to make out Suarez should stay though. This has absolutely nothing to do with Suarez. I've always gone on about Arsene's poor European record. Let me clear this. Yes, I am a Liverpool fan. I am fully aware we are quite s*** now, 7th best team in the country and having a very disappointing transfer window. My opinion on other teams doesn't necessarily translate to we are better than them. And I didn't question his domestic record, it's pretty good. Just talking about his European record (OMG WE ARE ALWAYS IN THE CL) CRINGE http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/05/20/article-2327380-19E07B03000005DC-175_634x454.jpg As if your lot wouldn't celebrate like that. Give over man. anyone outside of Man Utd, City and Chelsea would celebrate that
  17. Texts from a mate said we were good first half, counter-attacked well and Sissoko's non-goal was a great move. We were OK second half, a little leggy and the subs didn't really get the tempo back. Sounded like a good run out and that we played some attacking stuff. sounds like standard pre-season stuff, the loads of subs always takes out any sting in the game

    Loïc Remy

The feeling on twitter is that Remy and Park are the loans he is on about. Why would you want to loan out Park to get him back at 33? either because your very stupid (given everything I've seen of Fernandes at QPR this is highly likely) or PR guff to attempt to save some pride from your stupid moronic decisions that got you in the current mess

    Shola Ameobi

    all hail the shola one
  20. seems a but daft by them when in 6 months we could get him on a precontract then where would they be
  21. maybe but still I try to save my outrage for especially stupid ones like this case, the no1 is the goalkeepers number the end no one else's.
  22. I'm still questioning the sanity of Real and to a lesser extent of Levy's but his position can be based on sense and stubborn pride, Real's position is one where I question what the hell is in the drinks in the boardroom because I can't see any justification on this amount of cash for Bale as good as he is.
  23. £86m Jesus Christ he's good but worth more than Ronaldo? Lunacy from Real complete lunacy

    Sunderland

I know it is just a friendly and on a shit pitch, but City don't scare me as much for the opener after watching this game. Pelegrini's still experimenting with his side, they'll have improved drastically in 3 weeks time
  25. this, solid enough nothing special wouldn't bother with
