BBC Sport @BBCSport FA statement: "The FA notes the decision in the John Terry case and will now seek to conclude its own enquiries."

very simple reason, without rangers for a minimum of 3 years would destroy the TV deal and cause a shit load of problems for the SPL clubs I'm not sure it would be as bad as some are making it out to be. Scottish football has a chance here to rid itself of corruption and a fresh start. Pity that all an sundry (those in power at the SFA and SPL) are as corrupt as the fuckers who destroyed Rangers in the first place. nice idea in theory but the big big reason sky etc show any SPL games is for the old firm, no old firm means far less interest in showing matchs on tv which means if they're lucky just a lot less cash and if they're unlucky no tv deal at all. At the end of the day money is the be all and end all for football clubs

you know I don't know why they bother with peddling stories about player swaps, they happen once in a blue moon.

its almost worth it for that alone and the possibility of him rapidly returning to form as soon as hes back

I've stopped expecting Wigan to go down they just won't bloody go. Swansea could face problems if they stick with the tippy tappy do nothing style because teams figured that out by the end of the season but new manager might mean a change in playing style. Stoke are overdue a relegation, they've stopped improving and teams are figuring out how to counter their set piece/hoof barrage and their home record didn't seem impressive last year. West Brom, Clarke may be an astute coach buts its a hell of a difference between a number 2 and to be the guy calling the shots and they inevitably slide into relegation problems sooner or later. Villa will have a big turnover of players it seems but that can be a bad thing as it could take a while for the players to settle in and get used to each other though the home atmosphere is bound to improve by the simple fact McLeish is gone and with Bent they will always have a goal threat. my early calls are Swansea West Brom West Ham

I was under the impression they couldn't use that name for anything to do with the Olympics at SJP

QPR's wage bill must be ridiculous

It makes fuck all sense on a financial and even playing basis, just to throw him out before Rogers has even given him a chance (or he's even back in training possibly) is bloody madness and theres no way they'll recoup even half of what they paid. However it does indicate the yanks aren't giving Rogers anywhere near the same amount of cash and if he wants to spend he needs to sell a few and obviously hoping a reasonable Euro's might bump up his value a bit to get him more cash to spend

got to disagree there, people want to watch the clubs at the top more, however if the clubs at the top get all the money then they stay there, by sharing the money round from pooled incomings it stops the playong field from becoming too lop sided. Yeah but without the other clubs there is no opposition to play. That's the point. The league is 20 teams and they all contribute equally to the competition and in turn the 'product' simply by each playing 38 games. It doesn't really stop the playing field being too lop-sided btw, it's still like that. But it does help a little bit. liverpool wanted a system like they have in spain where clubs sell their own tv rights. personally i think all the tv money should be divided up equally and each club shopuld be on the same ammount of times. Bigger clubs always tend to rise to the top but it takes away most of the glass ceilings. I'd love to be in a league where the way we're going on at the moment (with our transfer policy etc) you could physically imagine us challenging for the title. I mean, it's not as if we've always been up there in the past. But there was always a chance through clever management and maximinsing undoubted potential that it was possible. Right now it is simply impossible with the sugardaddy clubs imo. its not so much the sugardaddy clubs but the cl money for me, your talking an extra £30m minimum per year your in there which is a hard gap to breach

A £35 million, 70k a week, plan-B/C/D substitute? A player who will want to be playing every week? If that's the case then they really would be better off just getting rid now. why not, they ain't gonna get near what they paid for him so why not hang onto him and to me it seems the height of folly to dump him now just when hes showing some form

QPR took it to stupid levels by just keeping on signing players without moving some on leaving them with a huge squad
-
bit foolish to put all your eggs in one basket, even spain had a backup plan on the bench if things were going pear shaped in llorente

ah how I've not missed this sort of thing

fits oddly well with my perception of the Liverpool owners

Saying that Ba's release clause ends at the end of July after that we can demand 15m and Galatasaray, Liverpool and Spurs are following the situation. Then they said Ba is happy at NUFC and looking forward to the new season with NUFC. But then they said "It should be noted Ba had move out of position and only scored 1 goal when Cisse signed" F*cking c*nts. Following the situation, what is there to follow? follow whatever of "ba's representives" are looking for money this week
