Under normal circumstances I'd shove City into the same broad category as us Everton Spurs Villa and Sunderland but there a bit of a wildcard with the cash
  2. anyway in more light hearted matters
  3. Imagine if that were English fans, christ. if it was there would be worldwide outrage and calls from Platini to kick out England forever
  4. UEFA and FIFA are usually rather pathetic on dealing with racist incidents, just look at some of the pathetic excuses for fines they've handed down over the years
  5. an odd situation where both Poland and Greece blew it, Poland after an excellent 1st half should have done better 2nd half and what was Scezeny thinking Greece for not getting the winner when they had the momentum 2nd half Still good game and good start to the Euros
  6. My 2 bets of the day Poland win, lewandowski 1st scorer around 10-1 odds and Russia win, Kerzhakov to score 1st around 14-1 if the online odds calculator is correct
  7. Youngsters Dennis Knight, Marcus Maddison, Brandon Miele, Alex Nicholson, Michael Riley and Jamie Smith all retained #nufc

ah the eternal and pointless whos a bigger club than who debate, my 2 cents for what its worth (nothing) I don't really try and break down too much in a 123 etc but go by categories in size of club and I'd put us in the same one as Spurs Villa Everton and yes even Sunderland, all around the same level of club and all realistically competing for the level below the top clubs.

Definitely. There's always room to expand our scope. We're being hailed as having a good scouting system when what we've done is not really that complex, it's just as massive improvement on what most of the mid-low range clubs in England do. The Premier League has massive economic resources yet most teams piss it down the drain signing expensive, safe Prem based players. Where we've done well is we have a man who is clearly very knowledgeable in his regions of expertise and also understands exactly the kind of players that will be suitable for this (and his) club. We've made sure that they are suitable both from a technical standpoint but also from a personality point of view. Couple that in with making sure the players are treat well and settle and it is a recipe for success. tbh its a massive improvement on what the vast majority of prem clubs do scouting wise, its really struck me recently how other than Arsenal and to a lesser extent Wigan how crap premier league clubs as a rule are at transfers, the big clubs don't really look for the gems themselves but wait until they're proven in the prem so to speak before moving for them and as such just waste a shit load of cash. Then theres the likes of Martin O'Neill who only seems vaguely aware of the existence of football outside the British Isles and certainly wouldn't sign players from such barbarians unless its a really unusual situation. What the club is doing may only be common sense but it seems in football common sense is not very common.
  12. my pretournement bets France win the euros and Benzema top scorer 66-1 Germany win klose top scorer 33-1 Lewandowski top scorer 25-1
  13. Final - France vs Germany Top scorer - Benzema, 5 Player to watch - James McClean How far will England go? - Quarter finals and lose on penalties as always Most looking forward to - Just seeing Ireland back at an international tournament Least looking forward to - actually watching Ireland play, its not that enjoyable normally Best Hodgson moment - Doing a Mike Basset and declaring to the media that england will be playing 44 fucking 2

  16. Bloody hell, one thing to change the badge alone, hardly unprecedented that but change the home kit colours? When was the last time that happened to any club?
  17. A release clause in his contract Yeah i know that, i am just gobsmacked we got him and no one else was sniffing around it does seem daft none of the big sides seem able to spot the kind of bargains we've been getting (well except for Arsenal historically) Don't the big clubs bother doing proper homework on transfers or do they just go for "big names"
  18. how is Mexes in this side really, hes atrocious
  19. Still can't get over the fact that we offered top whack for him when he was clearly finished and Man City knocked us back. common sense was never their strongest attribute as a club Or ours at that time. or most times, Us and City usually competed for new ways to become a laughing stock
