Luque goals should probably be worth 7 normal goals. 10-1 FIOS.

"but the bloke who runs the Europa League is on holiday." I think I've seriously underestimated how poorly UEFA is run.

That award really hurt Lee like Doesn't bother me. Continuing to alienate his readership with comments like that tbh. http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/17900565.jpg

Just a bit. Give over 'very pessimistic'. That would mean 1 loss in 10. Since when have we had a record like that in the Premier League? Souness' purple patch? Weren't we unbeaten in 11 at the start of the season? Get your point though.
-
If Everton get to the final then they will be in Europe no matter how Spurs or Chelsea qualify for Europe. So basically unless we finish 5th or above then Liverpool must beat Everton in the semi-final. No.
-
If we win this are we serious contenders for that 4th spot?

Mad to think just a few weeks ago some had all but given up on this lad having a career here.

Slightly optimistic there. Aye, not saying I expect it to happen.

supposed to be revising for a probability exam right now. How it works, odds of 3/4, 1/2, 1/3 (3/4 + 1) * (1+ 1/2) + (1 * 1/3) = return. Either way. It's not difficult calculation. 7/4 * 3/2 * 4/3 = 84/24 = 7/2. (but the actual odds are 7/2 - 1 = 5/2) That works. Also means it's easier to work out using fractions than decimals, take that Sweden. Anyway, maths class is dismissed.
-
Hans' method's definitely right FWIW. 1 + 4/11 = 15/11 15/11 + (15/11 x 16/5) = 63/11 or 5.7272... which rounded up is what the betting site says.
-
Tbf, it's equally, if not more, likely he's right and I've missed something blatantly obvious.
-
Those are the odds, but don't calculate the return. If you want the overall return (but displayed fractionally), add 1, so in the previous case you'd have 109/32. Sure that's right? Picked two random odds on a betting site, 4/11 and 16/5. According to your method a £1 double should return £2.16 (4/11 x 16/5 = 64/55. 64/55 + 1 = 119/55 = 2.163), but the site reckons it'd return £5.73. Hans is right, I just don't think there's a simple way of showing how to work it out. Which is beside the original point as decimals would make it harder to work out if anything.

Keep forgetting how young he is. Could potentially be our number 1 for 20 years. Crazy.

Just seen this on Simon Bird's Twitter: Simon Bird @simonbirdmirror RT @MirrorFootball: #nufc fans: @simonbirdmirror's weekly column is here and it's about the genius of Hatem Ben Arfa http://bit.ly/HR1vGf 8h Chris Phillips @ChrisPhillips_ @simonbirdmirror what about the genius of Stephane Sessegnon? Come on Simon got to go two ways mate! Simon Bird @simonbirdmirror Close @ChrisPhillips_ the clue is in the column's name: the newcastle column. Bosses don't want a sunderland one (all about web hits apparently)

Nice to see basic mathematics is still being shunned on Wearside.

 Midds, use the overall Shola vs Sess stats and tell them it demonstrates Shola is far better as time is irrelevant by their logic.
-
After Midds had clearly stated the goals/assists per minutes stat, the bright lad pops up with this: Completely creased up at it, man.
-
Sess is a good player, but Ben Arfa's completely outshone him the past couple weeks and finally put that argument to bed.
-
1 goal away from £550, nightmare. Consolation prize of £50 though.
-
Need Barca and Munich both to score one goal and then see their games out.
-
Yes. Kinda.

Had a freebet and a tenner in my account so gone for a few speculative bets for tonight. £5 Barca 3-1 £5 Barca -1, Munich -2 £5 Barca 3-1, Munich 3-0
