Shouldn't this be in 'football'?
-
Forgot we even had that.

Shola deserves much more than a charity event.

Fucking hell, was going to mention this ha. Was Crystal Palace at home wasn't it?

The one memory that burns the strongest for me as a Newcastle fan is a different one to the rest. I'm only 18 so don't have a massive amount to choose from, I'm too young to remember the real Keegan years properly. But anyway for me it's the Man Utd semi-final at Cardiff. I know what your thinking, absolutely shit day. But this was my first 'away' match. The first time I'd seen top competitive football outside of SJP. The specific memory is being 3-0 down but outsinging Manure fans all day. Then Shola pops up to make it 3-1, our end goes absolutely mental. It's then that it hits you what it means to be a Newcastle fan, how special the club and the supporters are. Other stand outs, dismissing games I wasn't at, are Shearer's record breaker and the celebrations in my corner and Keegans return against Stoke (4-1). Thinking about it the Villa match is one of the most special I've ever been to, the nerves before it thinking it could all go tits up and we'd be in for another long season then thumping them 6-0 is something.

Bent and Carroll would be a tasty strike force when I think of. Carroll looks like an ideal partner for Bent.
-
Yeah but Palacios will never get the chance to get called up to Brazil so you cannot compare the 2.
-
Emile Heskey was a World Cup regular for England whereas Drogba could only make it for the Ivory Coast. As you can clearly see this means Heskey > Drogba.
-
Crouch out of England squad. Would've been his golden opportunity if he wasn't injured.
-
Survival is my only expectation this season. Saying that I'd probably be a bit unsatisfied with 17th as it would mean we'd had on the whole a shit season and we'd be looking shaky going into the next.

Why's it at 6 this year. I know the past 2 have been 6 but that was because they were extended to the Monday with them being weekends. It's never shut before midnight 31 August before has it?

Gyan for £10m+ looks to be the epitome of a panic buy to me. Fair enough he'll strengthen their squad but he's only worth about half that. I've even heard £15m after future fees floating about as a possible price. Madness.

World Cup 2018 Host cities - Newcastle and Makemville both chosen
Anderson replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
I'd fucking love it if we got the World Cup. In 2018 I'll be 26 going on 27 so a perfect time for the World Cup to come for me personally. Will definitely try and make the most of it, probably will be a once in a lifetime thing. -
It's strange seeing the media getting behind Newcastle Utd/One of our players. What's the world coming to.... next Andy Gray will pronounce his love of the club. Won't last long like. He'll have one bad game and be labelled a false hope before long.
-
Today would of been the perfect time to give Vuckic a run out instead of throwing Shola on for the last 20 mins.
-
The thought of: Routledge ---- Ben Arfa ---- Jonas -----------------Carroll---------------- is rather tasty after today's display. We need to sign him up!
-
I'd put money on him being called up to the England squad before the end of the season. Capello loves a big centre forward and his only competition is Heskey and Crouch.
-
I fail to believe this kid, as loopy as he is, is so adamant on a move here, that he'd turned up unannounced to try and force a deal, will fuck it up with outrageous wage demands. Probably just more shit pouring out the Marsielle camp.
-
Think I might of just had a heart attack... Kieron Dyer on the pitch... playing football?
-
Funniest Zoolander one I've ever seen has to be the Raoul Moat one.
-
So is the general consensus that he is better than this Arevalo?
-
You could then say 260 goals then... Then that extends to even longer and means the original fact was wrong.
-
Shearer's 206 was in all competitions though.
-
Eh.. so Sunderland scored only 210 goals in 10 years?
