What is the protest, exactly??? Well I'll rephrase that to showing our discontent. Something needs to be done. The more people that jump onto the bandwagon and buy copies and 'spread the word'. The more the Ronnie will keep printing the stuff. It's a wash-rinse-repeat cycle. If just everyone who's going to the game did it tomorrow it would give the Chron the incntive to print more stuff about Ashley and co. that they haven't dared do in decades. It really is a now or never in my opinion

Tbh if people klnow about this and can't be arsed to buy a 60p Ronnie, wave it about a bit for 30 seconds before the game, then we really are useless at protesting

Played school football with Greg Rutherford who's now playing for Hartlepool. Despite being from Whitley Bay and playing at a very good level his whole life, NUFC never once watched him. I think Boro and Sunderland did and he had a stint with Boro. I'm not sure what our scouting policy is tbh

Yep. Funny how if you get a team out of the Championship then go back down, your name becomes mud whilst someone like Poyet who has languished in Championship mid-table for a few years now (one play off semi, hmm great) has had a growing reputation. If he hadn't played for Chelsea and Spurs, nobody would be in the slightest bit interested in him. Compare to Nigel Clough who's in keeping Derby dully mid table consistently over a few years while bringing through some kids at the same time as rather large reduction in whats available for him to spend I'd say is better than Poyets ones at Brighton because of the difference in budget but if any premier league side let alone Sunderland (from our POV) appointed Clough they'd be a laughing stock. Yup. He had a decent budget at Brighton did Gus. Clough on the other hand did more or less the same job but with no budget and he tried to bleed in new players at a struggling club

What did he say? Well, the studio show starts one hour before the game. They started of by showing a very nice video of Keegan's time as manager, of course focusing on the NUFC time during the 90s, with lots of great memories, and comments from the fans. Then, when asked about his time there he said "Well, I only see it as being manager there one time, as the second time was just shambles." Elaborating that most managers would find it hard working under the current setup and owner, and that it was impossible for him to stay when "the guys" upstairs interfered with the starting line-up, and signing players without him having a word in it. Then he said the fans, and forums out there, where quite knowledgeable about the situation in Newcastle, and he called it a shamble. He did say a lot more than that as well.. At half time he did say that Mbiwa had to be subbed, and he could not understand how Cabaye did not start the game... Interesting. Never knew about the starting XI being interfered with? Glad to see he reads the forums - Hi Kev Legend!
