Went to the talk in, and I was very pleased in the way he answered the questions and I truly believe he can take us forward. This maybe a slightly drunken view! But he really did seem to ensure the fans of the future he wants to take. Feel free to ask questions but expect a mumbled drunk response!

  4. I like Anfield and Goodison for this reason. I can't stand flat pack stadiums in the middle of nowhere (Bolton, Wigan) where you have to trek a couple of miles for a pint. I liked Bolton, drink in Manchester before then hop on train and out. The BeeHive pub in Bolton is quite good and not too far from the ground. Despite the result this season i had a mint day like.
  5. Only seen2 away wins out of about 30 games Accrington Stanley was a decent day out. S*** atmosphere though. And Wiagn away this season wasn't very memorable! My first away game was a good one. Everton away 2008. Lost 3-1 but thoroughly enjoyed the day in the sunshine. But last weekend was a cracking weekend. I really hope Blackpool stay up so i can go again. Blackpool really is a s***hole, but the people there are lovely
  6. West Brom. Horrible place. To top It off I missed the first half being sick in the toilet until my mate broke the door down. I then proceeded to be sick on the man in front of me. He didn't notice all game. Then I fell asleep on the bus home and woke up to find myself with no eyebrows and drawings on my face. School wasn't fun on the monday...

ah bless ya! It felt weird today not heading down to the nfa like. My 6 week countdown has already started
  8. After relegation, the club underwent off-the-field upheaval, with new chairman David Bernstein introducing greater fiscal discipline.[21] City were promoted at the first attempt, achieved in dramatic fashion in a play-off against Gillingham. A second successive promotion saw City return to the top division, but this proved to have been a step too far for the recovering club, and in 2001 City were relegated once more. Kevin Keegan arrived as the new manager in the close season, bringing an immediate return to the top division as the club won the 2001–02 Division One championship, breaking club records for the number of points gained and goals scored in a season in the process.[
  9. Has a team ever had back to back promotions from League 1 to the Premier League? Just i feel Norwich will come straight back down
  10. Brown has such an appalling win percentage.

I'm going to a talk in on Friday, and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say. If N-O could ask him a few questions what would it be?
  12. Amazing to think in the last 14 games we've only been in the bottom half once.
  13. The roads, sanitation, education, the aqueducts....... Yeah, yeah good point. The city was a mess before the sanitation

I've got a Chinese ,mate and everybody uses the term with him and when he's around. I suppose it's just how easily people are offended. I wouldn't be offended if i was in another country and somebody called me a Brit, as it's a shortened name for British. However, if it was used in a derogatory racist manner, that's where the problems start. I cannot comment though as i have obviously never experienced racism first hand as i live in the majority.

I'd tend to agree. It's just the way we speak. The amount of people i know who'll ask if anybody wants a 'Chinkies' is very common. But it doesn't mean people hate them.

Don't know what all the areas of town are called. The hotel I usually use is near the bridge and other than that basically just sjp and the areas downtown with lots of booze/food Drunken idiots saying stupid idiotic stuff, doesn't count for the vast majority of people in Newcastle, at least not to the level of it being 'very bad' as you said. I can see it might seem that way if the three times you've been over here you've heard some bad stuff, but I think I can count on one hand the amount of racist comments I've heard in my life time living in Newcastle... most of them from my Nana. I'm not saying the lot of you are skinheads or anything, just that it's relatively prevalent. Which is partly understandable since there are still probaly a lot of people who don't have extensive interaction(or at least not positive interaction) with people of other races. I'd have a fair bit more opportunity to witness racist abuse than you would, for obvious reasons. (apologies if I'm making incorrect assumptions here!) Skinheads aren't racist man!!!! A few bad apples have spoilt the bunch
