Great finish to the Youth Module. I had tears in me eyes as i waved goodbye to Chris, and trotted to the metro. Mainly, because i wanted to hear more storytelling Seriously, though great week thoroughly enjoyed it. I really would recommend it. Just got my Level 2 Assessmnet day and topic sorted. Finishing inside the Area. Fingers crossed i do well!!!

aye thinkm of that team, albert crocked, ferdinand crocked, shearer crocked, asprilla crocked, ginola wanting away and playing like it since before dalglish even got here and no money. brought in given , hamman, speed and solano. should have been given more time but some people thought he wanted rush, barnes etc as permanent fixtures instead of being tide overs till others got fit. Ginola wanted away because Dalglish treated him like s***. His tremendous man management skills paid off there. ginola wanted away when keegan was still here. Nope, he was just annoyed KK turned down an offer from Barca only to find out KK walked a few months later. I was at a Bez talk in, and he said that he Ginola was coming back from injury and was having a fitness test the day before a game, and he heard KD say to a Fitness Coach 'f***ing kill him'. Ginola came back in absolutely knackered dripping with sweat etc, and Bez asked Ginola 'How'd you do'? He replied 'Tired, but i'll defo be able to play tomorrow now. The team sheet went up and Ginola wasn't even on the bench, he kicked off and left the changing room and vowed he'd never play for the club again. as opposed to his half hearted displays at the end of the keegan reign ? He's said it on that Days of Our Lives thing on SS1, he was p***ed off with it and then even more so when KK left. You may be right, but KD certainly didn't try to keep him. aye thinkm of that team, albert crocked, ferdinand crocked, shearer crocked, asprilla crocked, ginola wanting away and playing like it since before dalglish even got here and no money. brought in given , hamman, speed and solano. should have been given more time but some people thought he wanted rush, barnes etc as permanent fixtures instead of being tide overs till others got fit. What utter bollocks. He spent 2.5M on Des Hamilton, 4m on Pistone, 3.5 of ANDREAS f***ing ANDERSSON and last but not least 3M on STEPHAINE GUIVARCH. Your a f***ing tool to think Dalglish needed more time, he had 1 1/2 years previously to sort stuff out. every manager f***s up like that (ruel fox, marc hottiger, paul kitson), pistone was actually ok aswell. after a terrible season of injuries he'd started quite well with a midfield that would serve us very well. And those buys were over a 5 year spell, KD brought in most of these players towards the end of his short reign.

you didn't watch him enough then. I'll give it to Wright that he was good in the FA CUp, in 7 seasons at Arsenal he scored 54 FA Cup goals.

I agree. I think footballing snobbery is getting in the way of judging what attributes a centre forward needs. Shearer showed signs of pretty much everything needed when taking into account his whole career. The fact he managed to re-invent himself after a couple of injuries is a testiment to how complete a centre forward he was. Nice point, thanks for sort of re involving me Sewell son

check how many headers shearer scored from open play, not nearly as many as you'd think. yes shearer was better than carroll, but neither are fantastic footballers, thats the point. they are just very good at that aspect of the game. YOu might be on your own with this particular brand of pickle maddass. was shearer a good enough footballer to go in midfield ahead of sellars or rob lee. no, he was a very good goalscorer and leader but technically as a footballer ian wright was probably better and that does not mean i'd prefer him. You're only saying that because you're a massive racist [/ian Wright] Obviously, that and he's s*** on Channel 5.

Considering he had TWO career threatening injuries and was still able to score the amount of goals he did is phenomenal. If you add those 2 seasons to his goal tally you'd be looking at a minimum of 40 goals extra and probably another 20 for the way his game was forcefully changed. If you don't think his comeback's were astonishing look at Owen after 2006...

The ref ruined the game there well done A free kick given outside the box in the 99.47ish. The full time whistle should have been blown on 99.30. The ref then didn't blow straight after the free kick had bounced away from the wall, yet as soon as the pen went in, BANG whistle goes. I hate them man ffs.

How bad is BAAAD

Does £35 million buy you 3-4 players of Carroll's quality and pay the wages? Add the silly wages he was wanting on top of that sum and it's probably possible, aye. Do you think Andy Carroll deserves similar wages to Coloccini? No, we have a wage structure now, and we shouldn't be breaking it for any player tbh. Colo was brought in under a different system. I understand these points and agree with them in principle. Just out of interest, how much do you think our wage cap is? 50K?
-
Would you be happy to see Coloccini let go if he won't accept the same wages? Obviously we wouldn't want that to happen, but the club cannot be held to ransom any more by players who think they're bigger than the club.
