Europe: would you take, er, 5th place right now?
TheGuv replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
Bolton for me please. The better of the two teams, i like Owen Coyle and it will show FSA that decent football can be achieved at Bolton to qualify for Europe. -
How did it go? Who did it, it might be someone i know The amount of people in the ground who must be oblivious to the big f*** off SD signs must be huge

I'm not taking it haha I'm still a novice I'll be learning too. Apparently Neil is a fantastic coach. I'm still to see him do any coaching. He's a great laught though. There's two surprise guests there, or so i hear. Aye, I aspire to be as good as Neil Winskill to be honest. Class at getting the session up and running, easy explanations, and fantastic banter. I think the two guests at Coaching the Coaches are Barney Jones and... someone else. Good website: http://www.nfpsoccer.co.uk/ Aye. I'm signed up. Some great drills on there. Barney is a great coach too. Neil was in the youth team at Newcastle under Keegan and a good player apparently. Manages Ashington now. They use those drills of the website for your Level 2 and when it comes to the assessment i'll probably be using them

Is there an assessment involved?

Cheers Chris I'll be at the Coaching the coaches clinic in a few weeks and we'll have a chat? I'm looking forward to it.

I think that's what they liked about me (without trying to sound big headed). I was on work experience which timed nicely with my job application which is why they waited to make a judgement. I made sure i did as much as i could. I wasn't getting home some nights til 8pm. Hard work but great fun. If you do that they'll snap you up tbh. I've been to 3 LTPD sessions and they're good. It's a good system and Andy Carroll went through that system, so it does work.

When is yours? I think they'll be hiring again soon by the sounds of it. Eeverybody wants a bit of Newcastle atm so the demand is awesome tbh.

Cheers I'm looking forward to the free gear

Just finished my work experience with the Foundation and they have gievn me the job I'm over the moon and i found my week very insightful and i've already picked stuff up in a relatively short space fo time. It really makes you appreciate what you've got when you visit some schools, and on the coaching side of things i have improved massively already. I popped into SJP today with one of the head lads, and we were looking at Pardew's little set pieces notebook. Some of the moves looked good. I cannot wait to start

9 out of 11 Americans find this statistic offensive.

The club have asked me to go on it. What are the dates because i'm unsure if i can do it if it's druing school hours. If not we'll be on the course together Its during the Easter Holiday - every day between 18th -21st April 9am-6pm. Hopefully, i'll see you then Not sure what the course entails tbh. But the club need somebody to do it and i remember you and Caz talking about ti so i volunteered

I was talking to a lad who works next to the dugout every match day and says that the 4th official scenario was a big problem under CH. All the other team's pester the 4th official after every decision, and eventually the decision's will go there way. For example: Tiote makes anohter foul. Ian Holloway: 'Look, that's the 4th one in a row.' 4th Official: 'Ok'. Tiote fouls again. Ian Holloway: 'There he goes again' 4th Official: 'Ref, that's his 5th foul, should probably book him now' We never did that under CH apart from Paul Barron everynow and then. Since Pardew has came in we've been doing it more. I don't think it's on mind that the management team should get away with that, but unfortunately they do.

As much as it pains me to say. Liverpool were great to watch from the word go. Some great agnles being run off the ball and the passing was good. I'd say another win next week and it's a goal.
