Random, but fun: NFL badges designed as if they were European football badges. http://www.footballasfootball.com/ My favorite's got to be the Baltimore Valencia Ravens.

We're getting Arsenal. Written in the stars.
-
Surprised that he'd go to Real Sociedad when he could start for a bunch of top European sides. Boyhood club and all, but still.
-
Apparently Xabi Alonso won't sign a new contract with Real Madrid, and will be able to hold talks in January to leave on a free. Moyes seen at yesterday's Atlético game, local sources linking ManU with Koke (who is the kind of player they need)

Neymar scores, 3-0 We're due a pasting against these lot for a while now.

Sevilla's president José María del Nido stepped down after being sentenced to jail for fraud (unrelated to the running of the club).

I see Mike is putting his Spanish lessons to good use re: the thread title -
We were on a record streak without him tbh. But confidence seems shot in the last 2 weeks.

1-0 down against Cartagena. Our stellar form continues.

Apparently they think that by programming it on the weekend it will generate more interest.

Montoya's playing a lot in his non-favored left hand side too. So it might not entirely be all down to him.
-
Morons, he won't be out of work for long excellent coach. I would have been willing to offer them a trade as well. Their fans are holding protests already. They're dead last, but just 3 points adrift. Given what Betis have achieved these past seasons under him (including promotion) he certainly deserved more. Wonder where he'll end up.

Pepe Mel sacked from Betis. Shocking decision, he's worked a miracle with them these past few years.

Thought the girlfriend was worth 80m, given the link title.

Not much besides the Barcelona rags. Our media are pretty insular. I'm excited, though.

Xavi hasn't been himself this season, thought Barcelona has looked better with Iniesta - Fabregas. I'd play Neymar centrally and Pedro and Sanchez either side when Messi's out. Selling Thiago was seriously a terrible decision. It wasn't our decision, just a botch from our DoF for allowing that release clause in his contract. Regarding our playstyle this season, Martino has encouraged the players to take more risks and play more direct, which results on losing the ball more and less control of the games; thing is that we don't look particularly more threatening in possession, and we are more fragile as a result. The Fàbregas as striker madness has to stop, though. Why so many managers (Del Bosque, Vilanova, Martino...) use him in that role I just don't understand.
-
Also these games where we look shit made me realize how badly we miss... Xavi, not Messi. Our midfield isn't the same since his legs started to give, and Fàbregas isn't patient enough to play the same role (think he's great in the hole though).

He's a grafter indeed. Goal caught me in the bathroom, did he do the John Cena celebration?

Knew it.

Fucking hell, change your boots again lad.

Nervous about today's game. San Mamés (the old one at least) was always one of the toughest stadiums for us - just two wins in the last 5 seasons. And with our current injury crisis that back 5 looks pretty shaky.
