None actually. My thick Catalan accent tended to confuse people I suppose it's hard to place since people aren't familiar with it. People had me for French, Italian... "you're a latino but I don't know what kind of latino you are"

Poor chap. I have been blessed with an unfuckable Catalan surname so I had little trouble in the US with it (besides many people thinking it was my middlename since Spaniards have two surnames).

Three people wounded after a generator at Iberostar Stadium exploded this afternoon. The Spain-Belarus Qualifying game that was supposed to be played there tomorrow might be suspended.

I'm not versed in phonetic spelling... but it's very easy to pronounce. Dew-lo-few? Really don't know how to put it in writing, just say every letter as you would pronounce it if you read it alone. Catalan/Spanish are piss easy on that regard.

Was this guy i think http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcelino_Garc%C3%ADa_Toral Doing very well with Villarreal at the moment. I think he's one of the best Spanish managers around, just unlucky of having landed in a couple troubled clubs (Zaragoza and Sevilla) that have held his career back.

Need to forward the article to Friedel so he can bring Marca down with a libel suit then
-
Marca runs a piece today about Phillips and Friedel - the PL's oldest players - and says in it that Friedel was forced out of retirement because he had dillapidated his fortune in "cars and a luxurious lifestyle". I thought he had set up a football academy that bankrupted him? Are Marca being cunts here (more than usual)?

52 points, up to top 150 for Spain

Our press waxing lyrical after Neymar's performance yesterday. Hopefully this is the end of Fàbregas as backup to Messi. He was immense, to be honest.
-
http://i39.tinypic.com/35jwapf.jpg I logged in expecting 2 points from him He even got 3 bps.
-
I meant in La Liga, of course.

According to Opta, Song completed 100% of his passes today, first time it happens for a starter since it is tracked http://img02.mundodeportivo.com/2013/10/06/El-grafico-de-Opta_54390580971_54115221160_261_396.jpg?t=1381014215762

Honestly man, wasn't expecting such quality of delivery from Neymar. Had him for a "fancy dribble, then score" kind of player. Great linkup play and awareness so far.
-
That's not Alexis, somebody has kidnapped him and replaced him with a good player. Neymar
-
He's doing a pretty mediocre job so far, to be frank. No way they should have such problems carrying games like these. Anyway, Neymar leading the line against Valladolid; let's see how that works for us. Better than Fabregas upfront I bet.... That's certain, that's why I hope he does well in that position so I don't have to see Cesc as #9 in the nearby future.

I love it when I find out that one of my defenders was subbed off before his team conceded. Sakho
-
Him and Bale would be a Hollywood pairing, imho.
-
Aye, was about to name Raúl myself. He spent most of his development at Atlético though. But still. For comparison here at Barça we haven't developed a striker since I've been alive. Anyway, plenty of glamour names for Real to pick from: Agüero, Suárez... they've been linked to both in recent times. Morata is too limited to lead the line in today's game, imho. He's a very good old-fashioned box striker, though, good impact-sub. Jesé ain't a striker but a wide forward.
-
They'll do one of those and sign another striker, most likely. Unless Benzema's form dramatically picks up, of course.
-
If they are a bit patient they can pick up Benzema in the summer, imho. I'm convinced Wenger could get the best of him.
-
Catching up with the other CL games... can somebody again tell me why Milan got rid of Pirlo?
-
The thing, though, is that I can see somebody like, say, Stoke coming in with 75k/w (which you won't match) and him happily going there. It's not like he didn't sign for the worst team in the PL when enough cash was flashed in front of him.

Everton. Seems the kind of player that could go to a mid table club as long as they pay his massive wages though.
