Marca reporting that Özil has refused Arsenal after both clubs agreed a €45m fee. Reports yesterday were that Özil has asked for a move, so make of that what you want.
-
Top of my drafted league too, mostly thanks to Zab and captain Sturridge. I need to improve my midfield's performance (Chadli and Mirallas will get the boot) if I want to sustain this though.
-
Meant the PL. The Shield is a glorified friendly anyway. I sort of understand that it's early days for Moyes and he's relying on the old and proven pros though.
-
I want royalties Barcelona should sue over that alright still what the hell West Ham in what possible way are they "more than a football club" (its also one of the things that bug me about Barca but lets not get into that) It's just what it meant for the Catalan population throughout the years (could go at length with examples), it wasn't coined - and certainly it doesn't mean - as a way to affirm superiority over other football clubs. It's something I'm quite proud as a fan tbf. The phrase was coined in the late 60s, when we were utterly s***.
-
All the Kagawa talk has made me realize that Zaha has yet to take the pitch for them, too. Should have been allowed to remain at Palace on loan, playing PL football every week. Unvaluable experience.
-
Enlighten us! Use FISO to make money off people trading like madmen during the window?
-
Lamela is 9m and up in the Spurs squad. If Özil comes off, I must make room for him though. I suppose he'll be 10m or so? Need a 6m decentish midfielder to get enough wage space.

Football's greatest - where does Lionel Messi rank?

31 goals away from becoming the all-time La Liga top goalscorer. -
think so How come? He's brilliant. Should have had tons of suitors. Is he on 20000000000000000000/week or something daft like that?
-
Is Julio César still at QPR by the way?
-
that's not the same bloke Fucking hell, you're right. I read the headline in the ticker, checked the Spanish wiki for Lisandro the striker and somebody had edited it as being a Getafe player
-
Lisandro López to Getafe on loan. He's lasted less than a month at that Qatari club he signed for
-
When that happens you either sign players to improve, or if you believe your players are good enough to attain your objectives, sack the manager. NUFC have done neither. I try not to meddle in your predicaments (I might get hurt) but this window is a shambles if it ends like this after coming in 16th last season. (Still, don't think you'll be relegated)
-
Özil and a mobile striker that's comfortable with the ball at his feet and Arsenal become title contenders, imho.
-
I rate him quite a bit. Not to say that he'll become the next Xavi or something like that, but he brings to the table something quite different to what we usually produce. He's more a box-to-box player in the English mould than our usual tiki-taka midfielder.
-
Alves is comfortably the best shot-stopper in La Liga.
-
Dos Santos in for Cesc... That's quite the non-impact sub
-
That a Catalan saying?
-
I was more complaining about the "we don't have a striker, let's stick Cesc there" mentality, rather than Cesc being played a lot in that position in absolute numbers.
-
Oh, FFS. What a shambles if we end up dropping points here.
-
He's still able to produce a masterclass (see Milan at home last year), but he needs to be rested more. He no longer has the fitness to cover so much of the pitch as he used to (he's always been the player with more distance covered in every game).
-
The whole "Cesc as #9" thing is a complete mystery to me. I have never seen a single game for club or country where he's excelled in this role, yet he keeps getting played there.
-
Liking the look of us a lot today. And yes, Cesc has been excellent in the Xavi role, so much more vertical.
-
Mental if RM really want to get rid. I understand that Isco has hit the ground running, but still... Selling Özil in order to buy Bale is nee improvement in my book.
-
Chelsea are crying out for an attacking midfielder, maybe its them. I'm going to dream and giggle while I picture him being part of the Bale deal.
